Working Principle of Sludge Dewatering Screw Press Machine

 

  • The Sludge Dewatering Screw Press operates on the principle of gradual compression and filtration:
  • Slurry or sludge is fed into the inlet chamber.
  • A slow-rotating screw shaft conveys the sludge forward.
  • The filter rings / screen allow water to drain while retaining solids.
  • Pressure increases progressively towards the discharge end.
  • Dewatered sludge cake is discharged continuously.
