We offer urotrin-0.4 (tamsulosin hydrochloride capsules) contains the generic medicine tamsulosin hydrochloride in the modified release form which is an antagonist of alpha1a adrenoceptors. Tamsulosin hydrochloride is used in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (bph). urotrin (tamsulosin hydrochloride capsules) belongs to the group of medications called alpha blockers. It is an alpha1 adrenoceptor blocking agent and acts by relaxation of bladder neck muscles and muscle fibers in the prostate and results in an improvement in urine flow rate and a reduction in the symptoms of bph. urotrin (tamsulosin hydrochloride capsules) has a rapid onset of action and has a good therapeutic action in the management of patients with lower urinary tract symptoms associated with bph. Tamsulosin has low cardiovascular side effects and less drug interaction with antihypertensives. It reduces the risk of acute urinary retention in patients with bph. recommended dose: one tablet of urotrin is taken once daily. For patients who fail to respond to the 0.4 mg dose, the dose may be increased to 0.8 mg orally once daily one-half hour following the same meal each day after 2 to 4 weeks of dosing.
