Mild steel Pipes contains 0.05–0.25% carbon making it malleable and ductile. It has a relatively low tensile strength and small percentage of carbon also known as low-carbon steel making it strong and tough. It is often used when large quantities of steel are needed, for example as structural steel. The density of mild steel is approximately 7.85 g/cm3 (7850 kg/m3 and the Young's modulus is 200 GPa (29, 000, 000 psi). Our Mild Steel Pipes are available as seamless, welded and ERW (ERW stands for Electric Resistance Welded) pipes .
Square Steel Pipes also known as “Square Hollow Sections (SHS)” are cold formed and welded from either hot rolled, cold rolled, pre-galvanized or stainless steel. In order to form the square steel section the mother tube, a round steel tube, has to be formed first. From a round tube rolls are used that progressively press the round tube into a square hollow section. They are used for structural purposes, special piping systems , architectural work, and many other general purpose fabrication works. Square Steel Pipes can be supplied with black paint mill finish or with anti rust oil coating for surface protection of the pipes and are offered in both mechanical and structural grades.
