The individual decades are parallel connected, each having switch position of 0 to 10 and are mounted in line with 4mm socket terminals linked to the ends of the chain and to each inter decade junction. A further earth terminal connect to the metal case. The top panels is clearly marked with the internal connection arrangement and maximum safe current capacity of each decade and the overall tolerance. Housed in robust metal case.

Comprising 12 non-polarised capacitors ranging from 100pF to 0.47F (470F) using standard preferred values, in step ratios of approximately 1:2 Selection is by means of a rotary switch and external connection is via a pair of 4mm sockets. All capacitors are of + 2% tolerance, 250V d.c.
Working with values as follows :100pF, .001F, .0022F, .0047F, .01F, .022F, .033F, .047F, .1F, .22F, .33F, .47F.
