Our offered Product range includes Fortin S Barometer, Aneroid Barometer, Continuous Flow Calorimeter, ELECTRICAL TUNING FORK and FRICTION CALORIMETER UNIT.
A glass tube of 6mm bore is contained in an enamelled and lacquered brass case, mounted on a polished wooden board with plates for fixing to wall, open plate reflectors and ring and screws for vertical adjustment. The silvered scales, graduated in inches and mm are read by vernier moving by Rack and Pinion to 1/200 in and 1/10mm and are enclosed in glass cylinder. A glass cylinder at the lower end of the Barometer is provided with an ivory point to which the level of the mercury in the cistern is adjusted before readings are taken. A ring support and three locking screws at base of instrument provide a means of securing the Barometer in a vertical position. Fitted with thermometer with centigrade and Fahrenheit scale. Supplied without mercury but with instructions for filling the Barometer.

(28-31 in x 0.1 in), figured in black, good quality, movement mounted in a polished plastic frame 155mm diameter with glass in anodized bezel with lug for rear mounting.
For determining the specific heat of water or similar liquid. It consists of glass tube 100mm long with heating element, electric wire, 2 screw terminals are provided at the ends of the tube for electric supply. The horizontal tube is connected by means of rubber bungs to the inlet and outlet system. Each having a vertical expansion to accommodate thermometer. A stream of water is made to flow through the glass tube and heated by the spiral by passing electric current. With the help of an adjustable constant boil tank, the rate of flow is kept constant. The rise in temperature of water is measured by two thermometers. The whole apparatus is mounted on a polished wooden base approx. 625 x 130mm size. Supplied with thermometer.
On sturdy streamlined base with provision for horizontal or vertical use. Fork is manufactured from selected steel. Prong is 10x25x300mm. Accurate frequency adjustment, chrome plated, vibration rate 60 per second. Electromagnet can work on 6 volts. The amplitude of vibration can vary by sliding the electromagnet inside prongs. Complete with stylet, mirror and counterpoise.
Comprising a brass cylinder, internal size 27 x 16mm diameter, with and integral V pulley in the base of the cylinder and a 6mm diameter steel shaft which fits into a bearing block. A vertical pillar carries the corklined friction arms and thermometer support. Supplied without thermometer.
