Scorpio offers Horizontal & Inclined Belt Feeders for extracting bulk materials from a dump hopper or regulating feed to further process. Belt Feeders are volumetric feeders for metering material flow to prevent flooding and choking downstream equipments. Load cell mounted Belt Feeders or Weigh Belt Feeders allow measuring of the feeding/extraction rate.

The units consist of the following parts:

• Conveyor belt
• Head and Tail drums with bearing assembly
• Drive unit
• Carrying and return idler rollers with frames
• Load cell assemblies (for weigh belt feeders)
• Belt tensioning take up arrangements
• All these parts are mounted to a robust Steel Main frame.
• Accessories like feed & Discharge chute, skirt board with skirting material.

Various safety features can be selected based on customer requirements in addition to standard accessories like zero speed sensor, belt sway switch, pull cord switch etc.

These units are used for feeding materials to silos, bins and hoppers. Available in both U-trough and tubular trough designs. Close tolerance machining and fabrication in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility assures equipment quality and performance. Designed especially for various throughputs depending on the system requirements. Manufactured in Mild Steel / Stainless Steel constructions.

Special type with variable pitch screw feeders are designed for handling highly free flowing and different bulk densities.
