A semi-husked coconut has its outer, fibrous husk partially removed, revealing the hard inner shell but leaving some of the husk intact, often around the "eyes" or top of the coconut. This processing makes the coconut easier to open while still providing some protection for the sensitive eye area, extending its shelf life. The meat and water are accessible for culinary use, such as in beverages, sweets, and savory dishes.

A tender coconut is a young, undeveloped coconut harvested before it fully matures, characterized by its green outer shell and the sweet, refreshing liquid inside. Unlike a mature, brown coconut, it has significantly less solid flesh but is prized for its abundant, nutritious coconut water, which is rich in electrolytes, vitamins, minerals, and natural sugars.
