ShaliKote T-10 / ShaliKote T-10A is recommended for waterproofing of leaky walls / surfaces or places where heating of bitumen is not desirable or prohibited.

Advantages

ShaliKote T-10 gives a coating, which, when set, is impermeable to water and remains unaffected by attacks of industrial fumes, saline atmosphere, etc. It resists low temperature cracking and also does not crack under the influence of strong sunlight.

ShaliKote T-10A has smoother finish and better flow as compared to ShaliKote T-10

  • Lid of the container should be firmly fixed, when not in use.

  • Use goggles and hand gloves during application
  • Clean hands with water after application.
Packing

ShaliKote T-10 / ShaliKote T-10A is available in 20 kg and 200 kg drums.

Storage

Keep in cool and dry place in air tight containers under shed away from heat.

Application Methodology

  • Wire brush and clean the surface thoroughly to remove all dirt and loose particles.

  • Dilute ShaliKote T-10 from its pasty consistency to light consistency by adding water in the ratio of 1:1. Apply this diluted material on the roof surface as primer. No dilution should be done in case of ShaliKote T-10A.

  • When the primed surface is dry and has turned black from its original brown colour, apply ShaliKote T-10 and allow the emulsion to break. It will turn black from its original brownish colour.

  • When the emulsion has set in, spread coarse sand or crushed stone chips over the surface.

TankMastic is a specially formulated anti-corrosive, tasteless, odourless, non-toxic and black bituminous coating for protecting the internal surface of storage water tanks, pipes, etc. from corrosion. It conforms to IS: 9862/1981 as well IS: 158/1981.

Application

TankMastic provides corrosion protection coating to all types of iron, steel including drums, and masonry or concrete surfaces for fixing glass panels on building elevation. It, being non-toxic / odourless, is suitable for coating insides of masonry / steel water tanks.

Advantages

  • It is easily applicable by brush/spray gun. It dries rapidly leaving black glossy finish.
  • The resultant film is tough and elastic and does not crack easily due to structural movements.
  • It is resistant to diluted acids and alkalis.
  • It is non-toxic and does not impart odour or taste to water or other contents in contact.

Application Methodology

  • The base metal should be cleaned thoroughly by sand blasting or otherwise. Before application, surface should be totally dry, free from moisture, oil, grease, mill scale or rust.

  • For better performance, a coat of ShaliTex Primer is recommended on metallic surfaces, However, for concrete or other porous surfaces, a coat of ShaliTex Primer is pre-requisite. ShaliTex Primer should be allowed to dry hard before TankMastic is applied

  • TankMastic must be stirred properly before applying by brush or spray gun. Two coats of TankMastic are recommended for concrete and three coats for metallic surfaces.

  • It contains Krytons unique and proven Krystol technology which reacts with un-hydrated cement particles to form millions of needle-like crystals.
  • These crystals grow in a catalytic reaction, filling the naturally occurring pores and voids in concrete, and permanently blocking the pathways for water and waterborne contaminants.
  • Later, if cracks form due to settling or shrinkage, incoming water triggers the crystallization process and additional crystals form, filling cracks and ensuring that the structures waterproofing barrier is maintained and protected.
  • The concrete itself becomes the waterproof layer removing the need for any surface treatment.
