XPS BOARD is an Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) rigid board used for thermal insulation. It is produced from general purpose polystyrene by the process of extrusion. These extruded sheets have a closed-cell structure and virtually no air-voids in between the cells. Globally XPS has been widely used for thermal insulation since the last 40 years. It is acknowledged to be one of the best 'value-for-money' thermal insulation materials. In India XPS is manufactured by Supreme Petrochem Ltd (SPL) as INSUboard at India's first integrated ultra-modern manufacturing facility at Nagothane, Maharashtra. This eco-friendly plant has an annual production capacity of 150, 000 m3 and is part of the 333 acre styrenics complex of Supreme Petrochem Ltd.
