GI pipe fitting is used at the places where there is heavy exposure to destructive forces of nature such as heat, wind and water. These pipes are coated with a uniform layer of zinc in order to prevent the weather and natural elements from doing damage to the pipe.

Conduit pipe is used for conveying water or other fluid or for carrying out certain other purposes, such as protecting electric cables.In water-supply systems the term is usually reserved for covered or closed sections of aqueduct, especially those that transport water under pressure.

The two most common types of PVC fittings are DWV and Schedule 40. DWV fittings are used for drainage, waste, and venting in residential and commercial sanitary systems. Schedule 40 fittings are pressure fittings used for potable water, chilled water, irrigation.

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe is made from a plastic and vinyl combination material. The pipes are durable, hard to damage, and long lasting. They do not rust, rot, or wear over time. For that reason, PVC piping is most commonly used in water systems, underground wiring, and sewer lines.

Chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC)  is primarily used for supplying hot and cold potable water, and in industrial liquid applications. It is less expensive than copper piping and materials, as well as being lighter, making it faster and easier to install, saving on labor costs.
