Ring joint gaskets are metallic sealing rings suitable for high pressure & high temperature applications and are fit in ring groove type flanges. To accommodate the ring gaskets, API has recommended Standard Groove Details for sealing requirements. The API grooves may be directly formed on the flanges /connectors, or while servicing of the worn-out flanges, by filling material and forming the API Grooves afresh. Hoshi Tools, is an expert in providing SEAL_MASTER API Grooving Cutters for these operations.
Regular face milling and shoulder milling cutters cannot be used to create acute corners in components such as guide rails of machine beds. Dove-tail Cutters, are designed to suit the angle which it must achieve. These cutters can also be used as face mills if required, during the same process of dove-tail machining.
Side and face milling cutters used for long, deep and open slots provide the best stability and productivity. They can also be built into a set of cutters, referred as Gang Milling, for a combination of side & face milling or slot milling, where there is more than one surface in the same plane, to machine in single pass, thus achieving the consistency of dimensions in production.
