Coir is a fibrous layer that surrounds the hard shell of the coconut. Coir pith is a by-product collected during the process of coir fiber extraction from coconut husk. While extracting the fiber, large quantity of dust material will be generated and it is called as Coir Pith.
Coir pith is also known as Coco Peat, Coir Fiber Pith or Coir Dust. The coir pith undergoes cleansing process like sieving to remove the foreign particles and larger fibers, squeezing to remove excess moisture and then drying the fibers. The raw composted coir pith will be treated under high pressure and compressed into various sized blocks, bricks/briquettes and bag slabs/grow bags.

Coir fiber is a fiber extracted from the coconut husk. Coir is a fibrous material between the hard internal coconut shell and the outer coat of a coconut. The brown coir fiber is obtained from the fully matured and ripe coconuts.
The process involves slicing the coconut husk, crushing the husk in the machine, soaking the crushed husk in water to wet the husk, extracting the husk from the outer skin, screening to separate fibers, baby fibers and pith. Final product from the machine is wet fibers which is then dried in the sunlight and bundled as per the requirements. The color and quality of the extracted fibers depends on the freshness and maturity of the coconut husk. The characteristics of the product are light in weight, brittle, strong, and elastic, with a tendency to curl.
Gloriosa Suberba is a kind of perennial herbs, flowering plant.

It is a concentrated product of date, cane juice, or palm sap (see palm sugar) without separation of the molasses and crystals, and can vary from golden brown to dark brown in colour. It contains up to 50% sucrose, up to 20% invert sugars, and up to 20% moisture, with the remainder made up of other insoluble matter, such as wood ash, proteins, and bagasse fibres. Jaggery is mixed with other ingredients, such as peanuts, condensed milk, coconut, and white sugar, to produce several locally marketed and consumed delicacies.
