Gloriosa Suberba is a kind of perennial herbs, flowering plant.

Tubers, long root like structures are planted in the ground soil. After 15-20days stem arises, then these climbers are maintained with the supporters. In certain period of time the entire plant grows with flowering and pollination. The flowers are eye catching yellow-red in color and the seeds been harvested. These seeds are called as Gloriosa Suberba Seeds. Gloriosa superb seeds are extensively used for its medicinal properties. The medicinal importance of the plant is due to the presence of alkaloids like colchicine and colchicoside.

The fresh moringa seeds are seeds inside the moringa pods or drumsticks. It is quite tender. Once the seeds get dried, It becomes hard and resembles like small beans. In fresh state, seeds are greyish white color with small wing like structures.

They can be eaten either cooked like peas or roasted like nuts. The oil extracted from the moringa seeds are used as natural moisturizer for the skin. It is used in foods, perfume, and hair care products.
