A horizontal tube 500 mm long 12mm O.D. is constricted near its centre and short side tubes are provided in each section for attaching glass manometer tubes 270 x 8 mm bore. If a constant head device is used to send a flow of water through the horizontal tube the variation of pressure in various sections may be determined.
It is to demonstrate, curvature introduced by unequal expansion of two different metals. Two different metal Brass and Iron strips riveted together from end to end and fitted with wooden handle.A. 150 x 15 mm (L x W)B. 200 x 25 mm (L x W)C. 300 x 25 mm (L x W)Note : Bars with other different metal combinations can alsobe supplied, on demand.
Comprising a cylinder 200 x 25mm diameter one half of which is wood, the other metal. If paper is wrapped tightly round the cylinder and the rod is held above the flame, the portion in contact with the wood will be quickly scorched while the portion in contact with the metal will remain uncharred.
Operates on main 220-250 V, 50 Hz supply. The element and holder are completely enclosed by a perforated mesh cover earthed via cable. The top of cover removable for replacing heating element. Mounted on a rectangular wooden base. Element rated at 300W. Supplied complete with 1.25 m 3-core cable.
It consists of 12 pairs of Bismuth and Antimony bars joined together in series with insulation between them. The couples thus arranged are enclosed in a brass frame having two terminals connected to the Bismuth and Antimony poles. Complete with nickel plated brass cone and mounted on an adjustable stand.
It comprises 120 mm diameter aluminium disc having 20 mm driving pulley. The powerful magnets are carried on a pivoted arms so that they may be moved over or away from the disc as required. Mounted on a base.
