Our Products
This valve is installed in the down stream of sampling systems/heat exchanger. The valve responds only to temperature. Under the normal operation the valve is fully open. If the sample temperature increases within the operating temperature (120F), The thermal actuator modulates the valve to close the inlet orifice. The valve automatically opens as the thermal actuator cools.
The heart of this valve is a solid to liquid phase change thermal actuator. The actuator contains Thermoloid compound which changes phase from solid to a liquid as the temperature increases. As phase change occurs the volumes of Thermoloid material changes significantly with the liquid volume greater than the solid volume. Since Thermoloid is essentially incompressible under normal operating loads & it is sealed into a rigid actuator housing, only piston can move and extend as the volume increases. This motion is used to open or close the valve.

TV/HAT (Tube Valve/Heat Actuated Trap) valves are ideal for use in conjunction with tracer tubing and tracing systems using pretraced tubing bundles. These versatile valves are compatible and are made to be used in combination with the TV series valves as well as standard tubing and tubing fittings. TV/HAT valves are ideal for replacing conventional steam traps on winterization tracing, instrument tracing, condensate return system freeze protection, tracing for processes under 150F (65C), and other applications requiring in-line flow control
based on temperature.

Because of the unique vortex flow characteristics inside the STVM valve, it is capable of mixing steam and water without the usual noise and vibration associated with other types of mixers. As a safety feature, the thermal actuator in the valve outlet is designed to turn off the steam flow into the valve if the cold water flow into the valve is interrupted. The entire internal operating mechanism (AKA cartridge) of the STVM valve can be quickly and easily removed as a single assembly by simply unscrewing the valve cap. This allows easy cleaning and service without removing the valve from the line. The unique flow characteristics of the vortices inside the valve create a scouring action that together with special coatings on the cartridge element minimize the effects of mineral deposits on valve operation, assuring increased service life even under adverse conditions.

* Automatic thermostatic bypass* Thermostatic flow control* Hydraulic bypass* Freeze protection* High or low temperature relief* Thermal relief valve for pumps* High temperature safety shutoff* Thermostatic drain valve* Thermostatic cooling water control* Thermostatic condensate drain
The DTV-R valve can be used in applications where a discharge flow to a drain or sewer must be tempered with cold water to reduce temperature. In some areas, plumbing codes dictate a maximum allowable sewer discharge temperature. The DTV-R provides a convenient, economical, and easy to use method of tempering hot effluent flows. Since the DTV-R is open only when the effluent exceeds the specified setpoint temperature, it also conserves water by automatically turning off cold water when not needed.
Design Features
* Boiler blowdown drain lines* Condensate return headers* Heat Exchanger backup cooling* Dehumidifier* Any excessively hot effluent flow to sewer/drain* Condensate discharge from steam traps directly to sewer
HAT/MIX valves can be used in any application in which a constant low flow rate (under 1 GPM) of water at a specific temperature is desired. These valves, like any mixing valve, must be installed with check valves on both hot and cold inlets. Pressure reducing valves are recommended on HAT/MIX installations in which system pressures are likely to vary. Pressure reducing valves should be adjusted to approximately 10-20% less than average system pressure for accurate and constant outflow temperatures. In some installations, throttling valves may be used in place of pressure reducing valves. These throttling valves should be set and locked for safety.
