Steel Wire Rods are made from steel billet, of size ranging between 5.5m-20m diameters, hot rolled reducing its diameter in the drawing process that is correlated to Rod’s drawability. The low carbon rods are used for fencing wire and concrete reinforcing mesh while high, medium carbon rods are used in car tyre reinforcement, and steel cords. Other applications of Steel Rods are to make fasteners and engineering bearings or used as filler metal for welding.
