The SIMS UV-A 1000 is a mid-sized, lightweight, hand-held inspection lamp designed for use by heavy
industries with very difficult operating environments.
The lamp housing is made up of high grade anodized aluminium and has a fan less operation.
The lamp has a housing diameter of just 52mm making it compact in size.
The lamp has a unique pistol design giving it a perfect grip for inspectors.
The Lamp produces an ultraviolet beam of >6500 W/cm

intensity at a distance of 38 cm (15 inches)
which is the best result in the class.
The lamp produces a visible light of < 1.5 foot-candles (15 lux)
Every SIMS UV-A 1000 is equipped with a Black Light Filter to reduce output of wavelengths longer than
400 nm
The SIMS UV-A 1000 uses ultraviolet light emitting diode (LED) producing UV-A light which peaks at 365 nm
making it suitable for Fluorescent Penetrant and Magnetic Particle Inspection applications.
Unlike mercury bulbs, full power of the lamp can be reached instantly.
The on/off switch is positioned on the front side of the pistol grip to prevent accidental activation.
The SIMS UV-A 1000 runs on a 100-240 VAC power adapter for use from an electrical outlet or it can also
be run on your regular power bank using specially made SIMS Power Cable
