During assembly or holding during process of bending and cutting incase of Assembly Line and Process. Jigs are generally used for more temporary holding and positioning while fixtures are considered more permanent and complex. Fixtures are used to hold object in place and clamp them to machine or operating surface. A jig guides the tool along a path defined by the shape of jigs.
