The high-quality and most reliable LHP motors such as Flame-proof and Non-sparking motors have been working continuously and safely at various hazardous locations which are explosive and inflammable. High performance and safety are the two important features of these LHP motors. 1) Suitable for Gas Group I, IIA IIB applications. 2) Designed for continuous operation in inflammable & explosive conditions such as Coal Mines, Chemical & Petrochemicals , Fertilisers & Pharmaceuticals Industries.
The operation of the brake is fail safe type i.e. Normally ON. The brake is applied when the power to the motor is cut off. or power failure occurs. Being of simple & robust construction , these motors need very little maintenance. Special brake liners are used to ensure that braking torque remains constant throughout the use. Normally OFF can also be offered on special request.
