uses:

sealing for automotive windscreen, windows and scuttles sealing in

automotive, caravan, ship bulding and railway industry

limitations:

avoidexposure to highlevel of chlorine.

avoidcontactwithalcohol andother solvent cleaners during cure.do not cure in

the presenceof curing silicone sealants.

do not apply when a moisture vapour transmission condition exists at timeof application, as

this can cause bubbling within the sealant.

joint design:

the specified sealant bead size should be calculated to comply with the compression and

extension capabilities of the sealant in relation to the anticipated joint width due to

expansion and contraction.

sealant widthshould never be less thansealant depth.

generally calculation of the width of pu sealant bead should be computed on the basis of

wide movement accommodation of ± 25%.

compression and extension capability minimum bead size should not less than 3mm to

accommodate movement.design joint depth of which ratio width becomes 0.5to 1.

joint depth maximun 15mm.

application:

surface must be clean and dry. remove all dirt, oil, grease, detergentsandloose

material.

mask smooth surface to simplify clean up.

cut tip off cartridge. cut nozzle to desired size at 45° angle. insertcartridgeinto

caulking gun.

insert cartridgeintocaulking gun.

push sealant aheadfor uniform bead.

tool within 15 minutes with joint nail or putty knife.

clean off excess sealant with m.e.k. or toluene before dry

do not apply the sealant below +5°c. warm up the cartridges or sausageat 20°c if

application by coldweather
