The fixture consists of a blue lens mounted on a yellow powder coated cast aluminum lamp housing. An o-ring seal and clamp band secure the lamp. The upper assembly mounts on a 1 in (2.54 cm) Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT) extension into the 1.5 in (3.81 cm) die cast aluminum breakable coupling. Standard height is 14 in (35.56 cm). Other heights are available. The taxiway light appearance is the same as what the pilots and ground personnel are accustomed to, thereby eliminating confusion caused by some other designs.
