This Afghan Silk and Wool Carpet is a super fine quality. It has silk warp threads, the thinness of which allows the weaver to create tiny knots. The pile contains vast areas of silk, most notably the main beige background colour and the dark orange shade of one of the principle gul motifs. The knot count is impressive at around 400 per square inch.
