This process is not only more cost-effective, but also eliminates stress cracks and related defects compared to traditional machining. Isostatic molding applies pressure to all sides of the molded part (whereas compression molding applies pressure in only one direction) to create highly consistent material properties and bring a part very close to its final shape. Isostatic molding is ideal for forming unusual shapes, such as cups, buckets, tapered sleeves and closed-end cylinders. Skived PTFE sheets and films are available in a wide range of materials and in continuous rolls or cut to your desired length. We offer standard or custom widths to help you reduce scrap and waste. We can also laminate, punch, or die cut all of our skived PTFE sheet and film products. All our skived PTFE sheets and films can be furnished with one or both surfaces etched for adhesive bonding.
