Vardhman airports developed SNIBs designed to operate over the current range from 2.8 to 6.6 Amp standard AGL circuit via a suitable series isolating transformer or, optionally, 230V mains supply signs can be either 50 or 60 Hz operation. Standard series circuit transformers can be used for 6 or 12 amp circuits. An external FAA style moulded plug is supplied as standard for connection to AGL circuits.

A heliport beacon should be provided at a heliport where:
a) long-range visual guidance is considered necessary and is not provided by other visual means; orb) identification of the heliport is difficult due to surrounding lights
The heliport beacon shall be located on or adjacent to the heliport preferably at an elevated position and so that it does not dazzle a pilot at short range.The heliport beacon emit repeated series of equispaced short duration white flashes.The light from the becon is show at all angels of azimuth.
