There are several methods to measure how much light is intercepted by a canopy in order to determine if water loss is from evaporation or transpiration. There’s the hard & expensive way and then there’s the smart way: the CTR-1 . “Virtual” make Ceptometer offers convenient and flexible tools for measuring and analyzing incident and transmitted Photo synthetically Active Radiation (PAR) in Crop and Forest canopies. This is a a non-destructive method to easily and accurately measure Leaf Area Index (LAI). It provides vital information about the penetration of PAR into crops and forest, and is essential in work such as comparative crop studies, for separating out the effects of cultivars and treatment. It is particularly well suited to low regular canopies (as found in many agricultural crops). It can be used in most light conditions. The first sensor probe has an array of 10 PAR sensors embedded in a 1m long probe, and is connected with Handheld Terminal. The second sensor probe also has a 1 PAR sensor embedded in a 0.5m long probe, and is connected with handheld Data logger. One PAR Sensor is also connected with data logger for reference incoming radiation. When a reading is taken, all sensors are scanned and the measurements transmitted to the data logger. The average light level along the probe is calculated. Further you can download data from data logger to a computer (USB Port) with the help of "Virtualware" (PC Interface Software).

this ccf sensor is for measurement of the cloud cover factor. This innovation of dr. Sten lofveng makes it possible to get automatic observations of the cloud cover factor, ccf 24 hours a day i.e. The fraction of the sky that is covered with clouds. It consists of a day time unit that observes the sky in 4 directions in parts of the solar spectrum, a night time unit that observes the sky in the thermal infra-red spectrum. A microcomputer evaluates the signals and controls the output.

Sanitization Chamber / Tunnel “Virtual” make Sanitization Chamber / Tunnel is the state of art fully automatic sanitization solution available in the market.

The new Apogee PAR-FAR sensor is a research-grade tool for measuring both the traditional PPFD photosynthetic photon flux and separately quantifying the photon flux of far-red photons (700-760 nm). The outputs include the traditional quantum flux, the far-red photon flux, and the far-red fraction (far-red photon flux density / sum of PPFD and far-red photon flux density). This sensor quantifies far-red photons, and for many applications it reduces the need for a more complex measurement with a spectroradiometer Features: TYPICAL APPLICATIONS •Monitoring plant light environments •Research plant morphogenic activity •Photobiology studies KEY FEATURES Digital SDI-12 output is standard with analog and Modbus options available. A domed diffuser promotes self-cleaning to minimize errors from dust and debris. HIGH QUALITY CABLE Pigtail-lead sensors feature IP68, marine-grade stainless-steel cable connectors attached directly to the sensor head to simplify sensor removal for maintenance and recalibration

Lighting quality is just as important as lighting quantity. In addition to measuring total PPFD, the Portable Spectroradiometer splits light to individually measure each color intensity or wavelength. Spectral output measurements can be used to maximize lighting efficiency, change the light characteristics to mimic seasonal changes, optimize visual appearance of displays, and many other applications Features: Wavelength Options 340 to 820 nm (SS-110) and 635 to 1100 nm (SS-120) wavelengths. Complete Package Includes spectroradiometer and cosine-corrected detector mounted in the housing, 180° FOV head, AL-200 bubble-level, USB cable for computer interface, carrying case, and USB drive with required drivers and software (Windows compatible, XP and later; Mac compatible, 10.9 and later). Unattended Field Measurements Spectroradiometer is small and lightweight with all measurement components contained in the durable, waterproof housing. Power consumption is low (1 W at 12 V DC) with automatic temperature compensation. Typical Applications Measurement of spectral output of radiation sources for plant or human lighting, reflectance and transmittance measurements of natural and synthetic surfaces and materials (often plant leaves and canopies), and absorptance measurements of chemical samples.

Features: Output Options •0 to 114 mV •0 to 2.5 V Accurate, Stable Measurements Long-term non-stability determined from multiple replicate pyrgeometers in accelerated aging tests and field conditions is less than 2 % per year. Unique Design Designed to optimize performance and price. The patented dome-shaped aluminum head is completely waterproof and minimizes errors by shedding water and dirt. All electronics are fully-potted. On-board Heater A 0.2 W heater keeps water off the sensor and minimizes errors caused by dew, frost, rain, or snow blocking the radiation path. Typical Measurement Applications •Longwave radiation measurement in agricultural, ecological, and hydrological •Weather networks and renewable energy applications.

Many plants are affected by interruptions in dark periods even by extremely dim light. Apogee’s new Quantum Light Pollution Sensor is designed to detect photons from 340-1040 nm that are below the sensitivity level of a typical quantum sensor. Detecting stray photons that disrupt the night is critical in preventing negative effects in plants such as plant hermaphrodism and stunted growth. The patented, dome-shaped aluminum head is cosine-corrected, self-cleaning, and fully-potted for a waterproof design Features: TYPICAL APPLICATIONS •Incoming PFD measurements over plant canopies in indoor greenhouses or in growth chambers, and reflected or under-canopy (transmitted) PFD measurements in the same environments •Measuring extremely dim light that may cause interruptions in plant dark periods MULTIPLE OUTPUT OPTIONS •Analog •4 to 20 mA •SDI-12 output ACCURATE, STABLE MEASUREMENTS Cosine-corrected with directional errors less than ± 5 % at a solar zenith angle of 75°. Long-term non-stability less than 2 % per year. HIGH QUALITY CABLE Pigtail-lead sensors feature on IP68, marine-grade stainless-steel cable connectors attached directly to the sensor head to simplify sensor removal for maintenance and recalibration CALIBRATION TRACEABILITY Apogee Instruments SQ-600 series quantum sensors are calibrated through side-by-side comparison to the mean of four transfer standard quantum sensors under a reference lamp. The transfer standard quantum sensors are recalibrated with a quartz halogen lamp traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

On calm, clear nights leaf temperatures can drop well below air temperature. A radiation frost occurs when frost forms on the surface before the air temperature reaches freezing. The Apogee radiation frost dectector contains a high accuracy thermistor mounted in a rugged housing. The thermistor mimics a leaf, which provides estimates of leaf temperatures when monitoring radiation frost events Features: Thermistor accuracy is ± 0.1 C across a range of 0 to 70 C, providing accurate measurements at temperatures near zero where frost damage is likely to occur. Output Options Analog and digital output options include an unamplified voltage output or SDI-12 communication protocol. Typical Applications Applications include leaf temperature estimates in crop fields, orchards, and vineyards. Leaf temperatures returned by the detector can then be used to alert growers to the potential of frost damage to crops.
