The word kosher means proper or acceptable, and it has informallyentered the English language with that meaning. The laws of kosher food originate in the Bible, and have been observed by Jews for over 3, 300 years. There are three categories of kosher food. The mitzvah of kosher transforms food into a vehicle for holiness, making the kitchen the spiritual hub of the home.
"Kashrut" comes from the Hebrew root Kaf-Shin-Reish, meaning fit, proper or correct. The word "kosher" can also be used, and often is used, to describe ritual objects that are made in accordance with Jewish law and are fit for ritual use.
Though Jewish dietary law is very complex, we have given below some general simplified guidelines:-
The OHSAS 45001 standard deals with occupational health and safety. It is applicable to all businesses.

The letters âCEâ appear on many products traded on the extended Single Market in the European Economic Area (EEA). They signify that products sold in the EEA have been assessed to meet high safety, health, and environmental protection requirements. When you buy a new phone, a teddy bear, or a TV within the EEA, you can find the CE mark on them. CE marking also supports fair competition by holding all companies accountable to the same rules. By affixing the CE marking to a product, a manufacturer declares that the product meets all the legal requirements for CE marking and can be sold throughout the EEA. This also applies to products made in other countries that are sold in the EEA. There are two main benefits CE marking brings to businesses and consumers within the EEA: Businesses know that products bearing the CE marking can be traded in the EEA without restrictions. Consumers enjoy the same level of health, safety, and environmental protection throughout the entire EEA. CE Certification become Notified and Non Notified. Notified CE Mark can be Traded in EEA without Restriction while Non notified not.
What Is ISO 22000 Certification For Food Safety ?
The ISO 22000 standard is the first international standard for implementation of a certified food safety management system. It covers Interactive communication, System Management and Hazard control.
ISO 22000 ensures food safety requirements are met and addresses each link in the food processing chain. ISO 22000 integrates principles of the system of hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP). Through controllable requirements, it connects the HACCP plan with necessary prerequisite programs (that is, best production practices with the creation of an efficient system). This leads to the elimination of potential risks.
Benefits of ISO 22000 certification:

Organic certification is a certification process for producers of organic food and other organic agricultural products. In general, any business directly involved in food production can be certified, including seed suppliers, farmers, food processors, retailers and restaurants. A lesser known counterpart is certification for organic textiles (or Organic clothing) that includes certification of textile products made from organically grown fibers. Requirements vary from country to country (List of countries with organic agriculture regulation), and generally involve a set of production standards for growing, storage, processing, packaging and shipping that include: avoidance of synthetic chemical inputs (e.g. fertilizer, pesticides, antibiotics, food additives), irradiation, and the use of sewage sludge;[1] avoidance of genetically modified seed; use of farmland that has been free from prohibited chemical inputs for a number of years (often, three or more); for livestock, adhering to specific requirements for feed, housing, and breeding; keeping detailed written production and sales records (audit trail); maintaining strict physical separation of organic products from non-certified products; undergoing periodic on-site inspections. In some countries, certification is overseen by the government, and commercial use of the term organic is legally restricted. Certified organic producers are also subject to the same agricultural, food safety and other government regulations that apply to non-certified producers. Certified organic foods are not necessarily pesticide-free, certain pesticides are allowed Organic certification regulated by each country like;USA, Canada, Europe, France, Germany, India, Greece, Ireland, UK, Switzerland , Sweden, Australia, China, Japan, Singapore, Cambodia. In India, APEDA regulates the certification of organic products as per National Standards for Organic Production.APEDA has recognized 11 inspection certification bodies.

Specifications
FSSC | ISO 22000 |
---|---|
FSSC Recognized by GFSI | ISO22000 does not recognized by GFSI. |
FSSC 22000 contains more rigid requirements for enterprise infrastructure, due to the technical specification of the basic pre industrial program. More ever the implementation of these requirements should be documented in form of regulation and other documents. | ISO 22000 Contains less rigid requirements for enterprise infrastructure and documentation. |
FSSC 22000 having rigid requirements for the certification authority requirements | ISO 22000 having less rigid requirements for the certification authority |
FSSC 22000 is a certification scheme that absorb ISO 22000 and contain a more extensive list of standard to be meet by the enterprises | ISO 22000 is a certification scheme that absorb HACCP and contain less extensive list of standard to be meet by the enterprises |
FSSC 22000 incorporates many of the principle of other GFSI approved food safety standards and combines them in a single approach therefore an organization can have a customized single food audit solution | ISO 22000 Does not incorporates principle of other GFSI approved food safety standards and does not combines them in a single approach therefore an organization cannot full fill a customized single food audit solution |
The organization will be able to meet growing global customer requirements from GFSI recognized suppliers. This means the organization has worldwide credibility | The organization does not be able to meet growing global customer requirements from GFSI recognized suppliers. This means the organization does not has worldwide credibility |
Once FSSC 22000 certified, other stakeholders have confidence that the certified organization is in control of food safety hazards and are able to identify them. | Even ISO 22000 certified, other stakeholders does not have confidence that the certified organization is in control of food safety hazards and are able to identify them and maximum suppliers need to company annually audited by them. |
Once FSSC is implemented there is no need to be certified for HACCP OR ISO22000 or both | After HACCP and ISO 22000 Certification, suppliers need GFSI Scheme certification. |

Proving your commitment to feed legality, safety & quality with FAMI-QS Certification
Animal feed has a direct influence on the quality and safety of food of animal origin. Consumers of meat, milk, fish, and eggs expect the industry and retailers to supply safe, high quality products. The feed regulation applies to producers and traders of compound feeds, animal feeds, pre-mixtures and additives, as well as transportation, transshipment, cultivation and feeding at the livestock farm. In addition, laboratories which carry out analyses may be certified.
What are the standards?
The FAMI-QS code standard addresses feed safety, legality & quality based on the European animal feed Regulation. It covers both quality & feed safety management systems, traceability, product regulatory compliance… and many other areas.
The European Union has developed many food regulations in order to protect the consumer’s health. In the last few years, EU regulation has become even more complex, as many food safety crises have occurred due to animal feed.
To ensure compliance with these laws and to improve feed safety and quality, the European Feed Additives Manufacturers Association has issued a code against which to be certified: FAMI-QS (Feed Additive and pre-Mixture System). Whether you are a trader or a manufacturer of feed additives or pre-mixtures you need to ensure the quality, safety and legality of your products

GMP- GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES (Compliance Certification to Pharma & Food Products) Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is a term that is recognized worldwide for the control and management of manufacturing, testing and overall quality control of food and pharmaceutical products. GMP takes quality assurance approach, which ensures that products are consistently produced and controlled to the quality standards appropriate to their intended use and as required by the marketing authorization.
GMP is aimed primarily at diminishing the risks inherent in any Pharmaceutical or Food production. GMP addresses issues including documentation, record keeping, personnel qualifications, sanitation, cleanliness, equipment verification, process validation, and complaint handling. Most GMP requirements are very general and openended, allowing each manufacturer to decide individually how to best implement the necessary controls.
This provides much flexibility, but also requires that the manufacturer interpret the requirements in a manner which makes sense for each individual business An important part of GMP, “documentation” of every aspect of the process, activities, and operations involved with manufacture. If the documentation showing how the product was made and tested is not correct and in order, then the product does not meet the required specification and is considered contaminated (adulterated in the US).
Additionally, GMP requires that all manufacturing and testing equipment has been qualified as suitable for use, and that all operational methodologies and procedures, such as manufacturing, cleaning, and analytical testing, utilized in the drug or food manufacturing process have been validated to demonstrate that they can perform their purported functions.
The quality approach of GMP ensures manufacturing, enabling companies to minimize or eliminate instances of contamination, mixups, and errors. This in turn, protects the consumer from purchasing a product, which is not effective or even dangerous. Failure of firms to comply with GMP regulations can result in very serious consequences including recall, seizure, fines, and jail time.
It is believed that GMP is a good business tool, which will help to refine both compliance and performance of the Company. GMP requirements are largely common sense practices, which will help companies better itself as it moves toward a quality approach using continuous improvement.
GMP is also sometimes referred to as "cGMP". The "current, " methodologies of manufacture, testing, design and control. The Manufacturers must employ technologies and systems, which are up-to-date. Systems and equipment used to prevent contamination, mixups, and errors are adequate by today's standards.
Thus, Good Manufacturing Practices –GMP, when certified of an organization, is an authorisation and certification of Companies product & process that quality standards are adequate, up to date and controlled for the intended use by the consumer.
Quality Management System Certification (International Organization for Standardization) ISO 9001:2015 Standard has been developed on a simple process based structure, which is generic in nature and adopt the process management approach .The structure of ISO 9001:2015 is based on a PLAN-DO-CHECK-ACT improvement cycle and eight management principles; providing a framework to guide organizations towards continual improvement and achievement of customer satisfaction.
