Sodium Butyrate is a chemical compound which is a sodium salt of butyric acid. Its standard name is sodium butyrate, while also called as sodium butanoate. Commonly it is available is amorphous powder, but for more stability the powder is customized in coated granular or noodles form encapsulated with permitted ingredients such as essential oils, glycerol monostearate or maltodextrin etc.
Common grade available and application : It has various effects on cultured mammalian cells including inhibition of proliferation, induction of differentiation and induction or repression of gene expression. As such, it can be used in lab to bring about any of these effects.
