An Advanced Embedded Mobile Web Server

This project includes the branch of Biomedical Engineering. This project is aimed to design a system that continuously monitors the aged people health conditions and pass the data to the doctor by using wireless concept GSM technology. A GSM modem provides the communication interface. It transports device protocols transparently over the network through a serial interface. A GSM modem is a wireless modem that works with a GSM wireless network. This GSM Modem can accept any GSM network operator SIM card and act just like a mobile phone with its own unique phone number. Advantage of using this modem will be that you can use its RS232 port to communicate and develop embedded applications. Applications like SMS Control, data transfer, remote control and logging can be developed easily. The modem can either be connected to PC serial port directly or to any microcontroller. In this project the parameters like temperature and heartbeat are to be monitored continuously by using analog temperature sensor and heartbeat sensor. In other words, the doctor will be diagnosing the aged people continuously. This project is designed in such a way that, the analog quantities which are to be recorded continuously are taken and converted into corresponding digital values using an eight channel ADC. Here we consider temperature and heart beat sensors to monitor the temperature and heart beat respectively. The microcontroller continuously monitors the sensors data. The processed data from ADC is sent to micro controller. The doctor can continuously check the aged people status by sending a predefined message to the controlling unit. And if the sensors data the temperature and heartbeat exceeds their preset values which is programmed in the controller, now it is the job of controller sends the heartbeat value and temperature value as a message to the doctors mobile through GSM modem. Thus, the doctor can take immediate actions based on the parameters received from the system using GSM modem.A16X2 LCD will be interfaced to the controller to display the status of the sensors. This project uses regulated 5V, 500mA power supply.7805 three terminal voltage regulator is used for voltage regulation. Full wave bridge rectifier is used to rectify the ac output of secondary of 230/12V step down transformer.

Development Of An Embedded System

This project is aimed to design a system to develop an automatic unmanned railway gate by using GSM technology. A GSM modem provides the communication interface. It transports device protocols transparently over the network through a serial interface. A GSM modem is a wireless modem that works with a GSM wireless network. This GSM Modem can accept any GSM network operator SIM card and act just like a mobile phone with its own unique phone number. Advantage of using this modem will be that you can use its RS232 port to communicate and develop embedded applications. Applications like SMS Control, data transfer, remote control and logging can be developed easily. The modem can either be connected to PC serial port directly or to any microcontroller. Railways, being the cheapest mode of transportation are preferred over all the other means. When we go through the daily news papers, we come across many railway accidents occurring at unmanned railway crossings. This is mainly due to the carelessness in manual operations or lack of workers. In order to overcome these dangerous problems we in this project came up with a solution for the same. Using simple electronic components and a wireless communication technique we have tried to automate the control of railway gates. Use of embedded technology makes this closed loop feedback control system efficient and reliable. AT89C51 microcontroller is the heart of the circuit as it controls all the functions. This project is designed in such a way that a GSM modem will be interfaced to the controller through serial port interface along with the DC motor through voltage driver IC L293D. The railway gate is connected to this motor. The microcontroller will be programmed in such a way that some predefined messages will be assigned to the controller for controlling the motor in different directions i.e. opening and closing of the door. When ever the user wants to control the gate, he has to send predefined messages to the modem. When the modem receives data (SMS), it will intimate the same to the microcontroller. Now, it is the job of the controller performs the predefined task of controlling the gate in clockwise or anticlockwise in accordance with the message received from the modem. A 16X2 LCD will be interfaced to the controller to display the status of the railway gate. This project uses regulated 5V, 500mA power supply. 7805 three terminal voltage regulator is used for voltage regulation. Interactive Voice Response System Through Pc

This project is aimed to implement the (IVRS) Interactive Voice Response System using DTMF technology under the C# platform. In This Project Some Predefined audio chunks are stored in the PC. When we call to the IVRS mobile number and when the call is established, the user can select the appropriate option by pressing the corresponding key. It will generate a complex frequency, which can be heard on the mobile placed. Hence DTMF tones will be transferred to calling mobile to the called mobile and to the PC via serial communication. Front end C #software comes into picture now which always interact with the serial port, and will analyze the corresponding tone received and plays back the respective pre recorded audio message through loud speaker. In this manner the voice response system does its operation of responding to the selected options So by using IVRS TECHNOLOGY in college, the parents can know their childrens details like attendance, marks etc. C# is one of the good user interface platform and easier to understand and simple to Implement in nature. C# is a programming language that is designed especially for windows programming. First user has to develop the required code in VB. Then interface it with AT89S52 microcontroller which again programmed as per the requirement. This is an interesting project which uses AT89S52 microcontroller as its brain. Street Light Management Using Pc

The aim of the project STREET LIGHT MANAGEMENT USING PC is to design a system using which the AC loads(street lights) can be controlled through PC using the microcontroller 8051 through which the power management can be optimized. The project is designed in such a way that the controller is interfaced to PC using serial communication technique. Serial communication is often used either to control or to receive data from an embedded microprocessor. In serial communication the data is sent as one bit at a time. Serial communication is a form of I/O in which the bits of a byte being transferred appear one after the other in a timed sequence on a single wire. Serial communication is commonly used in applications such as industrial automation systems, scientific analysis and certain consumer products. Here the serial communication is established between the PC and the controller by a line driver IC max232 which acts as a voltage converter. And the loads will also be interfaced to the controller through relays. Depending on the input received from the PC, the controller will perform the predefined task of turning ON/OFF the loads. Here the front end application will also be developed on C# .NET platform for the visual effects so that the application can be easily accessed. Here we will design the buttons to operate the loads. By clicking on these buttons the corresponding data will be passed to the controller serially. And an LCD will also be interfaced to the controller to display the status of loads. This project uses regulated 5V, 500mA power supply. Unregulated 12V DC is used for relay.7805 three terminal voltage regulator is used for voltage regulation. Bridge type full wave rectifier is used to rectify the ac output of secondary of 230/12V step down transformer.

Pc Based Stepper Motor Speed

The main aim of the project is to design a system using which we can control the speed and direction of the stepper motor by using PC and the microcontroller 8051. The project is designed in such a way that a PC will be interfaced to the controller through serial communication, using which we will input the data to the controller using the hyper terminal of PC to control the motor. Here we will use a serial line driver IC MAX232 to interface the PC with controller. And for the visual effects, the front end will also be developed by using a good user interface software C# .NET to input the data to the controller through serial communication. The application always interact with the serial port. In the C# application we will design the buttons to control the stepper motor with the meaningful labels. So by clicking those buttons, the predefined data will be transmitted to the controller serially. And a stepper motor will also be interfaced to the controller through a driver IC ULN2003A. Now, it is the job of the controller to read the data received from the serial port and to perform the predefined task of rotating the motor clockwise, anticlockwise and increasing, decreasing the speed of the stepper motor. 16X2 LCD is provided at the receiver side to display the status of the DC motor. This project uses regulated 5V, 500mA power supply. 7805 three terminal voltage regulator is used for voltage regulation.
