A thread protector is used to protect the threads of a pipe during transportation and storage, can be used on Casing Pipe, Tubing, Drilling Pipe.
They are generally manufactured from plastic or steel and can be applied to the pipe manually or automatically (by machine), and they are used frequently in the oil and gas industry to protect pipes during transportation to the oil and gas fields.
There are mainly 2 categories of protectors used commonly: HDPE Plastic Thread Protector, Metal Thread Protector.
Metal thread protectors can be cleaned and re-used, while plastic thread protectors are often collected and either re-used or recycled. The heavy duty HDPE Plastic thread profile prevent all contact between the steel bumper & the thread connection thereby eliminating possibility of bi-metallic corrosion.

In fluted design the OD of the protectors are bigger hence making it more shock absorbing and the fluted space on the outer surface of the protectors helps the mud to pass through the protectors easily.

Our wash pipes are manufactured by using AISI 4140 material, then quenched and tempered to 57-59 Rockwell “C”. Each pipe is then finished ground to meet or exceed some OEM standards.
Ourspray-coatedwash pipes are made of various materials like S.S 316L, S.S 316, EN-36, EN-24, EN-8 grounded harden & chrome plated. These wash pipes render a much longer life as compared to case hardened ones. We use laboratory and ultrasonically tested material for the same. Wash pipes are also available with flame spray-coated with Nickel, Chrome, and Boron Powder for special application.

We supply high performance single lip and double lip designed seals for general-purpose rotary and high pressure sealing applications. An optimized seal lip with a garter spring maintains a constant radial lip force for optimum sealing. The metal case is exposed to the elements and to the fluid, however, the application of an optional sealant coating to the case improves both static sealing and corrosion resistance between the housing and the seal outer diameter. The secondary lip serves as both an effective protection against light airside contaminants and as a lube retainer. Maximum service life can be achieved by applying a suitable lubricant between the two sealing lips.

In general, they’re used to clean away or strip debris, mud and fluids from certain well equipment. In particular, rod stripper rubbers are made to remove oils, fluids and other materials from sucker rods as they’re being pulled from wells.
Because rod stripper rubbers are key to helping keep rigs and well areas clean and clear of spillage issues, they’re important products that allow oilfield workers to operate in problem-free environments — as opposed to slick, unsafe working conditions. Our casing cup tester is designed to be attached to the drill string and then lowered into the casing beneath the wellhead to pressure test the blowout preventer stack and wellhead. When the cup tester is lowered into the casing beneath the wellhead, pressure is applied to either a test pump or by hoisting the type cup after filling the hook-up with water. The latter method is fast and accurate.
Astarn’s cup tester assemblies are rated to the API standard test pressure for casing sizes up to 10, 000 psi. Special reinforcing can be offered on all cup sizes and casing weight ranges to hold up to 15, 000 psi. Heavy Duty Packer cup is the least flexible but can also withstand higher pressure.

The elevator balancing straps are high strength rubber straps used for balancing center latch elevators during bit trips. CSS elevator balancing straps are made from the highest quality materials. The balancing strap attaches to the link with a U-bolt assembly. The twisted metal loop at the other end of the balancing strap attaches to the elevator handle.
Our Oil Saver Rubbers are manufactured using special molding process from a special compound specifically developed for this purpose. Oil Saver Rubbers compound is abrasion-resistant for long service life. We manufacture compatible Oil Savers to OEM. They are available in rubber sizes from 3/8″ to 5/8″. Oil and other fluids are removed from the wireline and allowed to re-enter the well, which helps prevent well-site contamination.
Wash Pipe Packing is made from a synthetic and fabric composition that has been impregnated with a rubber compound highly resistant to abrasion, oil, and water. Also available is single-unit wash pipe packing, for use with swivels that require packing via cartridge-style (available with special adapter rings).

The hydrodynamic inlets provide cooler operation and longer life by introducing lubricant into the dynamic sealing interface during rotation. This high-performance packing is interchangeable with regular oilfield packing and uses the same fabric-reinforced elastomer construction. Currently available sizes of our wash pipe packing are suitable for 2-3/4”, 3-1/5”, 3-5/8”, 4-7/8” pipe OD and interchangeable with Oil Well mud swivel.
Rubber pads usually consist of a steel base plate bonded to a rubber section, using a vulcanization process. In most cases, they are installed in the application via holes in the base plate.
