Because rod stripper rubbers are key to helping keep rigs and well areas clean and clear of spillage issues, they’re important products that allow oilfield workers to operate in problem-free environments — as opposed to slick, unsafe working conditions.
Texas short hall stripper rubbers made from rubber compounds that are specially formulated to resist wear and damage from oils and abrasive materials, stripper rubbers come in a variety of styles and sizes. In general, they’re used to clean away or strip debris, mud and fluids from certain well equipment. In particular, rod stripper rubbers are made to remove oils, fluids and other materials from sucker rods as they’re being pulled from wells.
The primary function of a rod wiper is to keep contaminants such as dirt, dust and moisture from entering the fluid power system.
Contaminants can cause significant damage to the rod, cylinder wall, seals, valves and other components. One of the main causes of premature seal and component failure in a fluid power system is contamination. It should be noted that rod wipers failure is normally a swift result of wiper failure. These Packer Cups are developed to perform in varying well conditions and provide maximum durability and seal-ability in the toughest of oilfield conditions. We manufacture both Wire Skeleton / Wire Mesh / Wire Frame Packer Cups and Rubber Packer Cups without any mesh.
The Packer Cups are made of strong, flexible spring steel reinforcing wires instead of an alloy steel base. This forms the “skeleton” for the tough body of the special elastomer compound that is specifically developed for oilfield applications where they are used in deep, heavy-duty, harsh environment service.
Our Packer Cups are available in various sizes right from a 1-1/4″ tubing through a 7″ casing and more, suitable mandrel size is 2-3/8’’. Specific sizes/designs can be developed based on customer’s requirements.
