Pre-Compressed Press Boards are high-density insulation materials manufactured from high-purity cellulose fibers through a controlled pressing and drying process. These boards are engineered to deliver excellent electrical insulating properties, high mechanical strength, and dimensional stability, making them ideal for use in transformers, switchgear, and other high-voltage electrical equipment. With a typical density range of 1.0 to 1.3 g/cm, they exhibit excellent dielectric strength, low compressibility, and uniform thickness across sheets. Pre-compressed press boards can operate efficiently in temperature ranges up to 105C (Class A insulation) and are resistant to oil impregnation and thermal aging when used with transformer oils. The smooth surface finish and calibrated tolerance levels allow for precise cutting, shaping, and lamination in coil winding, spacers, and barriers. These boards are non-conductive, mechanically operated, and do not require any electrical power for installation or function. Compliant with standards such as IEC 60641-3-1, IS 1576, and DIN 7733, they are essential in ensuring the reliability and safety of electrical insulation systems in power transmission and distribution equipment.
