Romy 500mcg injection belongs to the platelet-stimulating agent category, containing the active ingredient Romiplostim. It treats immune primary thrombocytopenia (ITP). ITP occurs when the body's immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys its own platelets, leading to low platelet counts. This drug is mostly used in adults and children aged 18 years and over with immune primary thrombocytopenia when other treatments have not been effective. It is prescribed when immunoglobulins, corticosteroids, or splenectomy (surgical spleen removal) have not successfully increased platelet counts.
Dapmicin 350mg Injection contains an active component of Daptomycin. This is an antibiotic used to treat certain bacterial infections. It belongs to a class of antibiotics known as lipopeptides. It is particularly effective against gram-positive bacteria, including drug-resistant strains such as Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus (VRE). This makes it a valuable option for treating infections caused by these challenging bacteria. This medication is approved for treating Complicated skin and skin structure infections (cSSSI) caused by susceptible gram-positive bacteria. This can include cellulitis (skin infection), abscesses, and surgical site infections. Dapmicin 350mg Injection can be an alternative for patients allergic to penicillin or beta-lactam antibiotics, as it belongs to a different class of antibiotics.
