CPAP or Continuous Positive Airway Pressure system is commonly used in Intensive care units. It is used to supply oxygen to neonatal and children.
This machine is used for blood transfusion or infusion during or after surgery. It is also capable of providing intravenous or nasal feeding. It can also be used for paediatric purpose. There are two types of infusion pumps.
Blood and infusion warmer economy- it is controlled by a microprocessor. It can go up to a temperature of 42 C. It has a warming rate of 1litre/ hour. The technical details are as follows:-
Blood and infusion warmer, superior-this enables the warming of several infusions or transfusions at the same time. It has the temperature range of 45C-51C; it can heat up to 6 litres/ hour.
