Positioning in the Plant : The chilling Tank along with chilling unit is installed after the cascade cooler.   Primary Function : It is one of the important stages of the process where moisture & CO 2 is separated partly from the air before entering the Molecular Sieve Battery. The air from the cascade cooler passes through the chilling tank, which contains chilled water at a temperature of 6 0 C to 10 0 C. This water is chilled by a Chilling unit. In the chilling tank the moisture entrapped in the air further gets condensed and is separated out as moisture. Positioning in the Plant : Oxygen filling manifold is the final stage where cylinder rack is set for final filling. The pressurized oxygen is controlled by pressure gauges & manifold valves. Primary Function : High Pressure Oxygen Pumped by L.O.Pump passes through Heat Exchangers converts into gaseous form. The gaseous oxygen if filled through oxygen filing manifold in the cylinders ready for marketing. Spares Requirement : Some of its important items spares are listed below:-   Cylinder Valves S.S. Spindles Spindle Keys Manifold Valves Safety valves Pressure Gauges Copper Tubes for Pig Tail Connection Brass Bull Nose & Nuts Spares Requirement : Square Nut and Bull Nose – extruded brass material is used. The material constitution enhances the threading of the nut which gets damaged with continuos workability. SS Spindle – SS 304 material improves the life of the valve as the valve is operated for each filling batch. Manifold valve is made from forged body tested with working pressure of 165 kg/cm 2 and tested pressure of 200 kg/cm 2 . Pressure gauge 6” size are supplied brass as well as SS bordoun for 420kg/cm 2 presssure. Safety valve are made in carbon steel with SS seat and working part. The safety valve supplied is approved by the explosive department .The working presssure are 165 kg/cm 2 – 20 X 25mm size.
