Simple cold traps, also known as cold fingers, are for standard applications in conjunction with vacuum pumps. Moisture or solvents are condensed out in the chemical application area. The cold trap is used to protect the vacuum pump. The special feature of this design is that the user does not need a tripod to hold the cold trap. The cold trap has a bead with which it is hooked into the support ring of the Dewar flask. The cold trap can therefore be changed quickly and easily. LN2 or CO2 is used for cooling. The coolant should be at least 50°C colder than the condensation temperature of the substance.

Cryo gloves have been specially developed for the handling of very cold objects. Typically they are used for handling objects stored in the vapor stage of liquid nitrogen (ranging from -120C to -190C).

Temperature control beakers are double-walled containers that can be used to control the temperature of liquids or solids. Standard tempering beakers are available in borosilicate glass 3.3 to DIN/ISO 3585 or in stainless steel. Hose olives are fitted as standard connections for the temperature control jacket. Microbial Freeze Drying Buffer (Filter Sterilized) is a proprietary solution of hydrolyzed plant protein (a substitute for bovine serum albumin) and carbohydrate lyoprotectant meant for the long-term preservation of microorganisms, including both bacteria and fungi. This formulation evolved from Reagent 18, a proven solution for microbial freeze drying described in the ATCC lyophilization manual. Superior to traditional additives like sucrose and skim milk, Microbial Freeze Drying Buffer has a 90% viability of bacteria andis free of all animal products and proteins. This buffer maintains microorganisms viability through freezing, water removal, and subsequent storage of freeze dried microbial samples.

The reactivity of fine lime during slaking is tested by measuring the temperature increase that occurs during its reaction with water as a function of the reaction time. This process is called NLK (wet erasure curve). The equipment and measuring method are based on EN 459-2.
For the reaction process, 150 +/- 0.5 g of undissolved lime is added to the Dewar vessel, which contains 600 +/- 1 g of distilled water at approx. 20 C. As the contents of the Dewar flask must be completely mixed throughout the entire duration of the experiment, this apparatus is equipped with an agitator (speed 350 +/- 1/min).

The cryostats are manufactured exclusively to customer order. Changes to dimensions, connections or volumes can usually be made at no additional cost. The LN2 cryostats listed in the table correspond to the most common dimensions and volumes. LN2 cryostats are supplied with opposing viewing strips as standard.

In many cryogenic applications, such as shrinking shafts and bushings in LN2, deep-freezing components or biological samples, using LN2 as a coolant in cold traps, calibrating sensors in LN2, etc., it is important to maintain a constant LN2 liquid level. This can be achieved with the LN2 Level Control.With this LN2 Level Controller, the LN2 level can be set between a minimum and a maximum sensor and kept constant. This LN2 Level Control can be connected to almost any LN2 tank.
If the LN2 level falls below the minimum sensor, a signal is sent to the level controller. The level controller then opens a 24 volt LN2 solenoid valve, which is connected to the removal siphon of the LN2 storage container. The excess pressure in the LN2 storage tank forces the LN2 out of the tank and through a transfer line to the working dewar vessel. The LN2 flowing into the working dewar vessel raises the liquid level until the maximum sensor is immersed in the LN2. This cools down the maximum sensor and sends a signal to the level controller. This then de-energizes the solenoid valve so that it closes and interrupts the LN2 supply. If the LN2 level has fallen below the minimum sensor again after some time, the process described above is repeated.
The customized LHe lifters consist of two vacuum-insulated riser tubes to which additional, screw-on, non-insulated extensions can be attached. The LHe lifter also features a flexible, super-insulated intermediate piece. The LHe lifter is evacuated upon delivery. Each LHe lifter is delivered with a vacuum lock for subsequent evacuation. This allows the customer to subsequently evacuate their lifter to ensure minimal transfer losses.
KALTGAS is a temperature control system that relies on the low temperature of liquid nitrogen as a refrigerant. The liquid nitrogen is evaporated in a cryogenic vessel using a heater (jet). This creates a constant, cryogenic gas stream. By varying the heater (jet), both the cooling capacity and the gas flow volume can be modified, and by varying the jet power, the liquid nitrogen consumption can be reduced to the necessary minimum. The cryogenic gas stream is then piped to the object to be cooled through a vacuum-insulated, flexible metal line. A KALTGAS system can generate a gas stream as cold as -180C within just a few minutes.
rnIn most cases, this cold gas system is used only to generate the cold gas flow. This gas flow can be controlled volume-wise via a regulator. Since such a control system operates without counterheating, temperature stabilization is virtually impossible.
rnTo achieve good temperature and control stability, a post-heating module (heat exchanger) must be used. This can be connected directly to the hose or installed in a chamber in the immediate vicinity of the cold gas flow.
Theere are packed columns and Vigreux columns. Both column types are used for different applications. The columns on offer are all double-walled, vacuum-insulated and silver-plated. Vacuum insulation and silver plating result in improved and more reproducible separation behavior, as this considerably reduces the heat input from the ambient temperature. The vacuum reduces the contact heat and the silver plating reduces the radiant heat.
There arearound 400 different types of glass reaction vessels as standard. The reaction vessels are manufactured from 250 ml to 20 liters volume, in cylindrical or spherical shape, with flat, round or dished bottom. Laboratory flanges with an O-ring groove in accordance with DIN12214 are used as a termination. Two different valve types are available as standard, a torion-type valve (L valve) and a valve with spring pressure on the valve pin (J valve), as well as the spherical ground joint S40. All reaction vessels with a valve have no dead volume at the outlet.
