Used to determine grade of bitumen. The penetration tests determine consistency of bitumen for the purpose of grading. Depth in units 1/10 of millimeter to which a standard needle having a standard weight will penetrate vertically in a duration of five seconds at a temperature of 25C determines penetration for gradation.
It consists of a vertical pillar mounted on a base provided with levelling screws. The head, together with dial plunger rod and cone (or needle) slides on a pillar and can be clamped at any desired height. A rack & pinion and pointer assemble provides fine adjustment of needle or cone tip to sample. It incorporates a clutch mechanism which makes reading of penetration and subsequent resetting a simple and accurate operation. The dial is graduated in 400 1/10 and the millimeter sub-divisions and the needle pointer against figures makes easy reading. Supplied with bitumen penetration needle, ring weight one each 50 gms, and two sample container.

It is designed for quick and accurate counting of bacterial and mould colonies in Petri dishes. Simply place the petri dish on the illuminated pad and touch the dish with the pen provided to mark each colony in turn. This causes a count to be registered on the digital display and an audible tone confirms each count made. Marking the disc with the pen avoids missing colonies or double counting. The digital count on the display can be reset manually anytime by pressing the RESET key provided. Optimum viewing of colonies is added by peripheral glare-free illumination. An integral magnifying glass provided for easier counting of small colonies.

Million Megohm Meter is an ideal instrument for measuring high resistance and insulation. Since it applies a highly stable IC regulated H.T up to 500VDC across the element under test, it serves the purpose of a megger also. It measures the insulation resistance of the sample under stress by subjecting it to the voltage. It has a measuring range of 1 Megohm to 10 Million Megohms in six decade ranges and is capable of reading up to 10 Million Megohms (1015 Ohms) with accuracy operational amplifiers ensures low drift, low input bias current, highly stable performance. Digital R-C Unbalance Meter for communication cables. It has been shown that there are some losses resulting from the cable manufacturing process which affects the intelligibility of the telephone circuit. These are caused by the unbalances in the cable pairs which not only affect the uniformity of the line but it also makes the lines susceptible to induction from other sources such as power line harmonics, ground line, voltage noise, etc.
The degree of balance in communication circuit determines how susceptible the circuit will be to induce noise voltages. This R-C Unbalance Meter will be very useful for direct measurement of capacitance unbalances in the cable pairs. The instrument can measure resistance unbalance also. The pairs can be tested for capacitance and resistance unbalances in different configurations which are selected by a rotary switch.
