Range 0.2 ohm to 11 ohmIt is a standard testing instrument for accurate measurement of very low resistances such as shunts, copper & aluminum conductors or wire and specific resistance determinations of heavy distribution transformers. The bridge comprise 10 steps of standard resistance of X 0.01 ohms and a circular slide wire having total resistance of 0.01 ohm & divided into 500 equal parts so that each division correspond to 0.00002 ohm (or 20 micro-ohm). It is also provided with 5 multiplier ranges of X 0.001, X 0.1, X 1, X 10 & 100 so that the overall range becomes 0.2 Micro-ohm to 11 ohms. Provided with built in compensation arrangement for taking into consideration self resistance of leads from bridge to test object. Complete with one standardized set of 8 leads for interconnections. All standard resistance coils used inside are of Aged Manganin wire or strip so that overall accuracy of 0.05 % is achieved. Used for measuring unknown resistance of moderate ranges by comparison method. The Bridge is a self contained unit with built-in Galvanometers & Battery. The bridge has got the following main features.Measuring Range: 0.001 Ohm to 11.11 Megohms, Housed in a nice wooden box with carrying handle.Series Arm: It contains four decade dials of 1, 10, 100 & 1000 Ohms Ratio Arm: It is in single dial giving multiple rations of 0.001, 0.01, 1, 10, 100 & 1000 Ohms.BATTERY: Built in 4.5 Volts, having 3 Nos. Torch Cells, fitted in the battery compartment at one side of the box with a removable lid.GALVANOMETER: Built-in with antiparallex mirror, knife edge pointer having sensitivity of 100 mA per scale div. | This is a combined potentiometer and a double ratio box. It may be used for measurement of two or four terminal resistance and metallic bars from 1.1 ohm down to 0.001 ohm. It can also be used as an ordinary potentiometer. Ten coils of 0.1 ohm are arranged on a rotary dial. A slide wire reads resistance in steps of 0.001 ohm. Knife edge special jockey is provided for accurate contacts. With the help of double ratio box the reading can be made from 1.1 ohm down to 0.001 ohm and 0.11 ohm down to 0.001 ohm and 0.011 ohm down to 0.00001 ohm. |
