principle
the float lever carries a permanent magnet which is repelled by similar magnet mounted in the switch housing. The magnet having the same pole directed towards each other are separated by a non magnetic diaphragm. The gland less construction offer excellent sealing.

Horizontal Float Level Switch
Filpro brings forth horizontal float switches that are buoyancy-operated unit, mounted on the side opening of the process vessel. Horizontal float switch consist of a float, magnet and reed switch component designed to detect liquid level in tanks. This unit is used to indicate either high level or low level of the liquid when the pivoted actuator magnet comes close to the reed switch mounted on the outer side of the flange. Mounting of the float switch can either be normally open or normally closed condition.

  • When a reed switch is to be connected to an inductive load or a load where surge current or in rush current flows (capacitive or lamp load) contact protection circuit is recommended.
