AIRFLOW TRANSMITTER

ESF is an airflow transmitter with a broad application area. It can be used for control, surveillance, and regulation of the flow rate in fresh-air and ventilation systems, etc.

FEATURES

  • Converts airspeed into a 4 - 20mA or a 0 - 10 VDC signal
  • Linear output signal
  • Fully electronic registration of airflow
  • AC or DC voltage supply
  • Compensates for changes of air temperature
  • Telescopic sensor facilitates installation
  • Temperature output signal 0 - 10 VDC
  • Fuse Protected
  • Made with corrosion resistant material

APPLICATIONS

The ESF-35-2 airflow transmitter can be used in a wide range of applications such as:

  • Measurements of airflow speed via PLC/outstation/EMS
  • Regulation of airflow speed
  • Monitoring of airflow speed

INSTALLATION
The airflow transmitter ESF-35-2 is installed in such a way that the current of air passes through the gap of the sensor head. Conductors to and from the transducer should be kept isolated from high-power conductors where powerful transient voltage spikes may appear.

FUNCTION
The ESF-35-2 transmitter registers the airflow speed according to a thermal principle based on the fact that the cooling action of air increases with airspeed. The action is measured and converted to a 4 - 20mA or a 0 - 10 V signal corresponding to airflow speeds from 0 - 8 m/s (0 - 1575 ft/min) or 0 - 16 m/s(0 - 3150 ft/min).

DWYER Differential Pressure Transmitter

The One-Touch Differential Pressure Transmitters are cost-effective, compact transmitters that reduce up front costs as well as expenses over the life of the product. These instruments not only alleviate cumbersome turn pots typically found in most transmitters, but eliminate entirely the need to span the instrument during calibration. With a single digital push button, both ZERO AND SPAN are calibrated properly, nothing else is required. No additional reference pressure sources and separate calibration devices are necessary; no need to remove from service and send to a lab. All that is required of the installer or user is to let the unit sit at zero reference pressure, then push a button. That is it! The transmitter is now ready for operation. Time savings are enormous over the life of the product compared to traditional transmitters which require time to annually remove the product from service plus the additional time to actually perform a complete full-span calibration.

Mounting is simple with integral mounting holes on the 616KD that are inherent to the molded housing. The 616KD has the expanded capability to be mounted on a 35mm DIN rail either via its side or back integral DIN rail clips. The Series 616KD has easy-to-wire open screw terminals at the top of the housing. An optional protective cap snaps directly to housing to cover terminals.

The One-Touch family of Differential Pressure Transmitters are ideal for building automation applications such as air handlers, duct pressure, variable air volume and filter monitoring. Available models include ranges from 1 in w.c. to 20 in w.c. depending on series.

ULTRASONIC LIQUID FLOW TRANSMITTERS

CSLFB: The CSLF series of ultrasonic liquid flow transmitters are designed for use with building automation, energy management, and process control systems. Models include various sizes and connection types for liquid flow measurement.

FEATURES

  • Dual Sensor, Bi-directional
  • 2 Field selectable ranges
  • Loop-powered 4-20mA
  • Zero Pressure Drop
  • Several pipe size available
  • Choice of connection
  • No moving parts
  • No initial calibration
  • Plug 'n Play

DESCRIPTION
The CSLF series ultrasonic liquid flow transmitters are ideal for the measurement of flow rates of acoustically conductive liquids including most clean liquids and many liquids with entrained solids.

Main advantages include excellent long term stability, no pressure drop, no moving parts, broad fluid compatibility, high accuracy and low cost.

At the heart of the transmitter is a proprietary mixed signal ASIC which allows sophisticated timing, control and transducer drive circuitry to be combined on a single integrated circuit. The ASIC uses a special algorithum that is an improvement upon the standard single-path measurement technique. Using the "sing-around" method, the ultrasonic transducer alternates between transmitting and receiving to measure differences in flight time between upstream and downstream transmissions. A sound pulse is transmitted from an upstream transducer towards a downstream transducer like a traditional time-of-flight measurement. However, the received sound pulse then triggers a second downstream transmission that then triggers a third and so on for a specific number of cycles. This process is repeated in the upstream direction.

Because it takes an average flight time over multiple cycles to compute the difference in flight times, the approach yields a significant improvement in timing accuracy when compared with the time-of-flight difference of a single sound pulse in each direction. This algorithm, combined with the pico-second timing resolution of the ASIC, provides the precise time measurement capability necessary for compact, small diameter ultrasonic meters.

The output of the transmitter is unaffected by changes in fluid temperature, density and viscosity as the flow calculation is independent of the speed of sound.

Wetted materials include ULTEM encapsulated ultrasonic transducers with a choice of elastomer seals and epoxy coated carbon steel body material.
