Our Product / Services
We offer the best product range of Multi Spring Mechanical Seal and Multiple Spring Seal.
A multi-spring CTFE (chlorotrifluoroethylene) bellows mechanical seal combines the robustness of multiple coil springs with a CTFE bellows that ensures reliable sealing under corrosive and variable-pressure conditions. The multi-spring arrangement distributes axial load evenly across the seal faces, while the CTFE bellows functions both as a secondary seal and a dynamic spring, eliminating O-ring friction and improving responsiveness
Operating Principle
Springs exert uniform axial pressure to bring the rotating and stationary faces together, while the CTFE bellows compensate for wear and misalignment. As the shaft turns, a thin fluid film (<10µm) forms between faces, minimizing friction and wear. Balanced design allows use in moderate pressures; the metal-supported bellows further assist with pressure balancing .
Advantages
Chemical Resistance: CTFE bellows excel in corrosive fluids—strong acids, alkalis, solvents—making these seals ideal for chemical, petrochemical, and wastewater applications .
Axial Compensation & Self-Alignment: The bellows’ flexibility accommodates misalignment, shaft movement, and wear without O-ring drag.
Redundancy & Reliability: Multi-spring setup ensures sealing even if one spring fails, offering robustness in dynamic or vibration-prone environments .
Low Friction & Long Life: Combination of CTFE dynamic sealing and balanced face load results in lower heat and wear.
A multispring mechanical seal uses several coil springs arranged circumferentially around the shaft to provide uniform axial pressure on the sealing faces. This design ensures even contact, enhanced stability, and improved sealing performance, especially compared to singlespring configurations
Operating Principle
\n\n
The multiple springs press the rotating face into the stationary face, forming a microscopic lubricating fluid film (a few microns thick) when the shaft rotates . This film prevents direct contact, reducing wear and controlling heat. If one spring fails, the remaining springs maintain sealing pressure, providing redundancy and reliability.
Performance Benefits
\n\n
Uniform Pressure & Low Wear: Multiple springs distribute load evenly, minimizing stress and distortion for extended life and better seal integrity .
\nHeat Dissipation & High RPM Capability: Enhanced cooling and fluid circulation allow safe operation at high shaft speeds (4000–6000RPM or sliding velocities up to 25m/s) .
\nRedundancy & Reliability: With multiple springs, a single spring failure doesn\'t immediately compromise sealing; overall durability improves .
\nVersatile Material Options: These seals support varied face materials and elastomer combinations to match harsh fluids and elevated temperatures, making them ideal for chemical, oil & gas, and slurry applications .
