The Magcorr Magnetite Analyser provides a rapid determination of magnetite (or other magnetic iron) content without resorting to expensive and time consuming X-Ray diffraction, wet chemistry or weight / volume determination. The Magcorr Magnetite Analyser works on the principle of magnetic coupling. The sample acts as the core of a highly sensitive specially designed sample transformer. A calculated voltage is applied to the primary winding of the sample transformer and the subsequent secondary voltage induced through the sample is measured and converted to a value representing % Magnetite (percent) magnetic iron).

Operations:
- All operations including calibration are accessed and displayed on the MagCorr Touch Screen
- When power first applied the MagCorr performs an internal self check after which the main menu is displayed as shown on right.
- Pressing the OPERATION button brings up the % magnetite screen and the system is ready to take a reading on a sample vial placed in the vial holder. A reading takes approx. 15 seconds after which the percent magnetite is displayed on the screen.
Readings are held in memory and can be displayed showing:
- Raw counts to percent magnetite
- Raw counts to percent magnetite graph
- Individual sample points graph for each analysis
