The open construction for easy visualization of the concept of working of a side valve four stroke, air-cooled petrol engine. All parts made of metal. The operation of the valves clearly evident. Shows functioning of various parts of the engine, such as cylinder-piston, crank, carburetor, fuel supply etc., and conversion of linear motion of piston rod to the circular motion at the crankshaft. Simulated ignition through spark plug is shown by an indicator lamp. Color coded 4mm socket terminal provided on the base for power input to the indicator lamp. Its important components and functioning explained on the keycard mounted at the base.
Product Description
Model Turbine
Demonstrates the working of water turbine for generation of electric power as in hydro-power stations. When water is made to fall on the vanes of turbine from inlet at the top, it makes the vanes of the turbine to rotate and escapes from the outlet at the bottom. A dynamo coupled to the shaft of the turbine rotates with it resulting in conversion of mechanical energy of rotation into electrical energy, which can be observed from the glow of indicator lamp. Both the inlet and outlet have serrated tubulatures for flexible tubing connections. Mounted on base.
