Slurry pump volute liner basic part number is 110, it directs slurries to the pump outlet, so it is another main wet part in metal lined slurry pump. Most slurry volute liners are slower than water pumps with large clearance at the cutwater, this volute form gives a little less efficiency compared with water pumps. However, this volute form reduce wear through lower internal velocities, and this is best compromise between wear life and efficiency.
