The shaking platform is interchangeable and it is driven by a powerful DC motor and the speed of which can be continuously varied from 30-300 RPM digitally. triple roll mills are used to wet & disperse solids in liquid media which are viscous. these are most suited for superfine grinding and dispersion of paints, printing inks, enamels, chemicals, chocolates, leather, linoleum and pigments.

essentially, the equipment consists of three rolls which are rotating at different speeds with an arrangement to feed material between the first and second rolls and a discharge arrangement from the third roll. the fineness of grinding is adjusted by adjusting the gap between the rolls.

Construction:three rolls are made of ss or hollow chilled cast iron with high surface hardness, having a solid shaft at one end and hollow at the other end is fitted with heavy duty double row spherical ball bearings housed in movable bearing blocks. this assembly is mounted on a rigid angle iron frame.

Cooling :the frictional heat generated by milling is removed by circulating cold/chilled water through the rolls.

Drive and power transmission:induction motor (2 hp to 40 hp) with pulley arrangement and gear train

Attachments:deflection guards to regulate feed material on to the rolls, spillage collection tray and discharge tray with adjustable scraper blade.

The Modular Baby Fermenter is designed for flexibility is a basic Fermenter suited for training and research. Depending upon the requirements, inexpensive add-on modules may be added at any time.

THE BASIC FERMENTOR consists of:
Autoclavable glass vessel assembles available in 1 Ltr, 2 Ltr & 3Ltr capacity.Magnetically coupled bottom agitator.Aeration system comprising of built in air compressor, needle valves, inlet & outlet filters, may be used androta-meter for measuring air flow rates.Temperature controller for controlling temperature from 5C above ambient temperature to 75C.

The system uses hot/cold water valves, PT100 Sensor and Digital PID Controller.

SEPARATE INEXPENSIVE ADD- ON MODULES available for control of all the parameters allow operation of systems ranging from simple batch cultures to full instrumented continuous culture system, using PLC, Touch Screen HMI and SCADA Software.

pH Control Module this module monitors and controls pH within an accuracy of 0.1 pH by adding acid or alkali using two built in peristaltic pumps & Digital PID controller. Signal output can be sent to a recorder or data logger using a computer. The autoclavable electrode is supplied with a special SS holder.
Foam Control Module is used for automatic control of foam by adding antifoam using foam probe, peristaltic pump and a controller.
Timed Pump Module- This module is used to add small volumes of antifoam agent at regular intervals from 0-2 minutes or 2 ml/hr every hour using a built in peristaltic pump.
Nutrient/ Harvest Pump Module- This module provides simultaneous control of nutrient addition and harvest removal from the fermentor using a dual head peristaltic pump with adjustable flow rates from 0.05 ml/min to 15 ml/min. Liquid level can be controlled properly by choosing the speed and tubing size. Vessel volume between 200 ml to 800 ml can be maintained using the adjustable harvest tube depth.
Oxygen Control Module- this module monitors and controls the dissolved oxygen content in the vessel by adding oxygen or nitrogen through automatically controlled solenoid valves. The digital PID controller controls oxygen within 5% of the set value. Signal output can be connected to a recorder or used for data logging in a computer. The autoclavable electrode is supplied with cable and fittings.
Rack Module- This module consists of a SS rack which can accommodate 5 litre capacity storage bottles and 250 ml sample bottles in addition to the fixing arrangement for the culture vessel during autoclaving. Totally loaded rack can be autoclaved in a 450 mm dia electrical autoclave. This saves space and facilitates easy handling.

MURHOPYE RIBBON MIXERS are designed for gentle mixing of materials used in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food confectioneries, soaps & detergents, ceramics, pesticides & insecticide formulations, rubber, colors & pigments, plastics & PVC , powder materials and adhesives & coating compounds.

Construction :All the parts coming in contact with the material being mixed, such as the mixing chamber, shaft, ribbon, lid and valve, are made of SS. Jacket for cooling or heating can be made from MS parts and insulated if necessary.

Mixers :The main shaft is made of solid SS and welded with 2 sets of blades in opposite direction which ensures thorough mixing of ingredients in a short time.

Drive:AC motor with reduction gear driven through an arrangement of pulleys and V belts. The motor can be switched ON/ OFF using the starter mounted on the frame. Overload protection is standard.

Loading and unloading:The top lid is hinged for easy opening and feeding the material. The material after mixing is unloaded through a manual sliding / ball valve provided at the bottom. An optional arrangement is screw conveyor for transferring the material after mixing to the next process.

Cooling / heating:A jacket is provided through which cooling water, hot water or steam can be passed for cooling or heating as per process requirement. Temperature measurement and control facilities are optional.

Frame:The mixer is supported on MS angle frame duly painted.

Models:Available in capacities ranging from 25 kg to 500 kg in SS or MS construction with or without jacket.

MURHOPYE TRAY DRIERS are widely used in laboratories and industries for dehydration, moisture determination, general drying and other applications.

Construction:Dryers are of double walled design with inner chamber made of MS and finished with heat resistant Aluminum paint. The gap between the walls is filled with glass wool for effective insulation.

Heating:Tubular electric heating elements are placed at the sides. Steam heated models with steam coils suitable for pressure up to 7 kg/cm2 are also available. Thermic fluid heated models with thermic fluid tube bundles are available for applications where thermic fluid heating is preferred.

Air circulation :Gravity convection type: Air intake and ventilators provided at appropriate locations ensure removal of moist air and introduction of fresh air into the dryer.

Forced Circulation:Standard tray dryers are cross flow type with fans on each side providing total air circulation on double passing principle. This results in closed loop circulation of air in two operational zones ensuring uniform drying. Fresh air intake and exhaust are provided with manually operated dampers/ ventilators.

Instrumentation and controls:The electric control panel consisting of temperature indication, ON/OFF switches and indication for fans and other safety features is provided.

Tray size:Standard tray size is 800 mm x 400 mm x 30mm are made of aluminum. Other sizes and material of construction are on request.

Models:Available in 12, 24, 48, 96, 192 tray models. 12 & 24 tray models are suitable for direct loading. Higher models are suitable for trolley loading. Higher capacity dryers can be made on request.

MURHOPYE DRUM DRYERS are useful in drying molten material or viscous slurries to obtain dried materials.
It can be used for research purpose in a laboratory or for small scale production in industries. Materials such as dyes, chemicals and foodstuff can be effectively dried on a drum dryer.

Features:

Hard chrome plated drum rotating at 4 to 6 rpm.

Feed arrangement- from a trough with applicator rolls.
Scraper blade made of spring steel/ teflon / or other suitable material. The blade angle is adjustable for effective removal of dried material.

MURHOPYE MUFFLE FURNACES are ruggedly built for working temperatures up to 900 C and a maximum temperature of 1000 C. Temperature of the muffle is controlled by energy regulator and the working is indicated by jewel lights provided at the front. The standard furnaces are provided with silver fuse, thermocouple and a 100 mm scale pyrometer to indicate temperature.

Temperature controllers with indicator and Digital Temperature indicating controllers are optional.

The muffle furnaces for working temperature up to 1100 C and a maximum temperature of 1200 C are available.

It has an opening on one side of the fitted with a circulation blower. The blower takes the inside air from the room and passes through the ducting in two paths. In one path it takes the hot and humid air and in the other it takes the cool air. The cool air and hot, humid air are mixed in the mixing chamber located on the other side of the KOJI ROOM. Water condensate gets drained through the bottom drain valve. Only the conditioned humid air will move through the top opening to the perforated duct, which is placed inside the die room. This will pass through the trays loaded with koji / bran. The air emerging from the Koji will get sucked by the circulation blower and the circulation continues.

The humidity and the temperature are maintained by a heater and chilled water circulation. A modern electronic control system is used. The Relative humidity and temperature are indicated and controlled by the indicating controllers which adjust the heating and chilled water circulation to achieve accurate control. This is housed in an attractive control panel. Signal is used for indicating, controlling, recording or data logging as per the customers’ requirement. Murhopye has successfully developed solid state fermenters (KOJI) for laboratories and industries. Model PF-50 (Koji) is a pilot scale solid state fermentation plant available in 25 kg capacity onwards on a turnkey basis. 

Solid State Fermentation (SSF) also known as solid substrate fermentation, Koji fermentation, and solid slurry fermentation is defined as: growth and metabolism of microorganisms on solid substrate medium in the absence of tree flowing water. SSF has a number of advantages over submerged fermentation. SSF is used for the production of fermented foods, enzymes, organic acids, mycotoxins and insecticides.

Agitated and Aeralid Solid State Fermenters (Aseptic Operation)

 These fermentors made of SS provide provision for agitating the solid substrate bed continuously depending upon the process. Temperature, humidity and agitation controls are provided. The Fermenters are fully instrumented and controlled.

Solid State Tray Fermentor

Laboratory and pilot scale Solid State Tray Fermentors are used for research and development and production at small scale. The equipment consists of insulated chamber made of SS and MS with provision for trays, and monitoring and control of temperature and humidity. A humidity generator is provided. Depending upon the requirement, the size and number of trays to accommodate may be selected. Murhopye has supplied tray fermontors of different sizes to a number of organizations. The fermenttion is non asceptic.

A peristaltic pump is a type of positive displacement pump used for pumping a variety of fluids. The fluid is contained within a flexible tube fitted inside a circular pump casing (though linear peristaltic pumps have been made). A rotor with a number of "rollers", "shoes", "wipers", or "lobes" attached to the external circumference of the rotor compresses the flexible tube. As the rotor turns, the part of the tube under compression is pinched closed (or "occludes") thus forcing the fluid to be pumped to move through the tube.
Additionally, as the tube opens to its natural state after the passing of the cam ("restitution" or "resilience") fluid flow is induced to the pump.

Murhopye Peristaltic Pumps are specially designed to provide accurate and reproducible flow rates for laboratory and industrial applications. These are self priming pumps and are ideally suited for pumping corrosive liquids and sterilized medium, acids, alkali and antifoam agents under aseptic conditions. These pumps are available in single or multichannel configuration.
A variety of combinations of rotor, tubing and speeds are offered to cover diverse applications / flowrates. These pumps may run continuously, or they may be indexed through partial revolutions to deliver smaller amounts of fluid.

ATTRITORS are used for fine grinding, dispersing of paints, gravure inks, chocolates, dyes, ceramics, high alumina, zirconium, ceria, rare earths, titanium, minerals, chemicals etc. While occupying less space and consuming less power, these attritors are 10 to 100 times faster than the conventional ball mills. Thus they are highly efficient.

A standard attritor consists of a vessel with milling media in which specially designed agitator rotates to achieve fine grinding and dispersion. Usually, the heat generated in milling is removed by cooling. In certain applications, hot water is circulated through the jacket.

Depending on the application, material of construction is chosen. Vessel is made in MS, SS, MS lined with rubber or polyurethane. Quick release coupling between agitator shaft and the drive shaft is provided. Measurement of temperature and control are optional. Tilting arrangement is also provided as an option.

Grinding media:Steel balls or flint, steatite balls of size ranging from 2mm dia to 12mm. Based on capacity and mode of operation, laboratory, batch, continuous and circulation type attritors are available.

Laboratory Attritor :0.75 litre to 5 litre capacity vessel volume attritors are generally used for laboratory requirements.

Batch Attritors :80 litre to 1100 litre vessel volume attritors are used to process pasty materials & viscous materials like chocolate paste. The operation is batch wise. The material is fed, attritor is operated for a certain time and the product is removed.

Continuous Attritors :In these, the feed enters from the bottom, flows through the attritor and is discharged through a side nozzle at the top of the medium level. These are suitable for continuous large scale production for single pass grinding or processing applications. Typically, these are used for cocoa liquor, compound coatings and such applications. 15 litres to 400 litre capacity attritors are used for continuous applications.

Circulation Attritors:The system consists of an attritor, pump and a holding tank which has a capacity of about 10 times that of the attritor. Slurry is circulated through the attritor using a pump from the tank till the desired fineness is achieved. 15 litre to 400 litre attritors are used for the continuous operation.

Volume of product processed is usually about 40 50 % of the total volume.

Loading and unloading:Loading for batch operation is manually through the top. Unloading is through grill and valve at the side or bottom.

MURHOPYE POTTER TOWER is suitable for studying the biological effect both when applied as a direct spray on the organisms or as a residual film. The design incorporates a detachable atomiser assembly, mechanically adjustable spray table and control arrangement to regulate air supply mounted on the equipment for convenient operation.

Construction and equipment details:

The Frame is made using MS angle iron sections, finished in pleasing colours. Adjustment screws at the base facilitate easy leveling.
Spray tube is made of SS 304 with mirror finish and positioned centrally by three screw mounted on the intermediate platform.
Spray atomiser is supplied as a standard feature is located centrally and comes with a sample holder assembly. All these are mounted on the tower itself for ease of operation.
Spray table is used for positioning the specimen dish beneath the spray tube and its height is adjustable.
A regulated air supply of 1.5 to 2 kg/cm2 is required. Air supply from the users mains can be connected to the nozzle provided at the back of the tower. A pressure gauge, mounted on the front panel indicates the pressure. A needle valve is provided on the front panel for fine adjustment of airflow. MURHOPYE SPORE COLLECTION SYSTEM is a useful instrument to collect spore samples from field for further resting in the laboratory. It comprises of a small blower, spore collector and two plastic bags that are secured to the spore collector.

The blower sucks the air near the sample when the spore collector is directed near the sample. The sucked air and sample pass through a tortuous path resulting in the spores being collected in the plastic bags attached. There is a fine mesh at the inlet to ensure that bigger particles do not get into the system.

The spore collector is made in brass or SS as per customers requirement.

The Laminar Flow chamber is ideal for microbiological manipulations with bioassays, sterility testing and research work, provides a comfortable sit down position for the operations.

These are designed to provide particle free air to meet Class 100 standards.

Construction: Cabinets are fabricated out of thick board with lamination on top. Side panels are made of thick transparent plexi glass duly framed.

Air Flow & Filtration: Atmospheric air is drawn through pre- filter and passed through HEPA filter in laminar flow through the work table at designed velocity of 90 ft/min +/- 20 %.

Blower Motor assembly: Statically and dynamically balanced, direct drive designed to provide adequate airflow over the entire surface of HEPA filter.

Heating and cooling:

Standard control Packages:
The basic package for the 300 ml to 2000 ml reactors is the CP-F-1A which includes PID temperature controls with a potentiometer that allows the user to minimize the overshoot of temperature at lower settings. Addition of digital tachometer makes the model CP-F-1B control package.
Control packages for the 4 & 8 liter models or upgrades from CP-F models can add temperature overshoot safety shutdown, ramp and soak programmable temperature control and digital pressure indication.

Capable of handling pressures up to 6000 psi ( 400 bar) and temperatures to 350 deg C, FC series reactors are ideal for a wide range of applications such as Catalytic Studies, polymerization, Organic syntheses, Hydrogenation, dehydrogenation, Oxidation, Amination, Isomerization etc., A high temperature option package can extend the standard vessel capability to 538 deg C.

A range of six sizes from 300 ml to 8 liters makes these reactors suitable for laboratory research and batch testing of production processes.
Three standard configurations are available to fulfill a wide range of requirements for capacity and application parameters.
300 ml to 2 liter sizes mounted on a full coverage furnace stand.
300 ml to 1 liter sizes mounted on a bench stand.
1 liter to 8 liter sizes mounted on a floor stand.

Standard features:
Vessel:
Bolted closure design allows full access to internal surfaces
Interior surfaces are electropolished for optimum mixing and easy cleaning
Vessels made of SS 316, Hastelloy C276, titanium are available ex-stock; Hastelloy B2, Monel, Inconel, Zirconium and others are available on special orders.
All process connections are on cover, for convenient opening and closing.
Closure seal- Self energizing metal seal ring for temperatures up to 350 deg C. interchangeable o ring for use below 232 deg C.
Each reactor vessel is equipped with a Pressure gauge, a vent valve and a sample tube.

Agitation by Dyna/ Mag Mixer:
Uses the latest rare earth technology to deliver high power without risks of leaks to or from the vessel
MM-016, which generates torque up to 16 in-lbs ( 2Nm) of torque is standard on 300 ml to 2 liter sizes. MM 060 for 60in-lbs ( 7Nm) is standard on 4 & 8liter sizes and is an alternative for 1 & 2 liter vessels. MM-120 for 120 in-lbs (14Nm) is an alternative for 1 liter to 8 liter sizes for processing even highly viscous or thixotropic materials.
Dyna/Mag mixers are rated for a top speed of 2500 rpm.
Standard impeller choices are PPI Gasperator gas dispersing turbine, pitched or flat blde turbines and propeller. A variety of impeller options are available including paddles, anchors, and catalyst baskets.

Reactor control Packages:
Temperature Indicating Controller: Both the models described below control the process temperature precisely. They come complete with Thermocouple, thermowell, SSR relays for accrate mesurement, control and power distribution.
PID ramp & soak model: Digital indication of both set point and reaction temperature; Stores up to 19 user written programs or recipes; Each program can completely define heat-up rates, profiles and hold times; Auto tuning and battery backup are included as standard ; Computer interface with RS 422 port is optional.
PID model- Digital display of set point and analog set point; True PID control with lockable set point; Requires no programming and is designed for esay operation.
High temperature shutdown in an over temperature condition
Speed indicator- speed pick up actuated by a magnetic field measures the actual inner shaft speed. Low set point alarm and shut down in case of inner shaft stoppage
Pressure indicator- digital display, transducer, and associated cables, connectors etc.,
