triple roll mills are used to wet & disperse solids in liquid media which are viscous. these are most suited for superfine grinding and dispersion of paints, printing inks, enamels, chemicals, chocolates, leather, linoleum and pigments.

essentially, the equipment consists of three rolls which are rotating at different speeds with an arrangement to feed material between the first and second rolls and a discharge arrangement from the third roll. the fineness of grinding is adjusted by adjusting the gap between the rolls.

Nutrient/ Harvest Pump Module- This module provides simultaneous control of nutrient addition and harvest removal from the fermentor using a dual head peristaltic pump with adjustable flow rates from 0.05 ml/min to 15 ml/min. Liquid level can be controlled properly by choosing the speed and tubing size. Vessel volume between 200 ml to 800 ml can be maintained using the adjustable harvest tube depth.
Oxygen Control Module- this module monitors and controls the dissolved oxygen content in the vessel by adding oxygen or nitrogen through automatically controlled solenoid valves. The digital PID controller controls oxygen within 5% of the set value. Signal output can be connected to a recorder or used for data logging in a computer. The autoclavable electrode is supplied with cable and fittings.
Rack Module- This module consists of a SS rack which can accommodate 5 litre capacity storage bottles and 250 ml sample bottles in addition to the fixing arrangement for the culture vessel during autoclaving. MURHOPYE TRAY DRIERS are widely used in laboratories and industries for dehydration, moisture determination, general drying and other applications.

Construction:Dryers are of double walled design with inner chamber made of MS and finished with heat resistant Aluminum paint. The gap between the walls is filled with glass wool for effective insulation.

Heating:Tubular electric heating elements are placed at the sides. Steam heated models with steam coils suitable for pressure up to 7 kg/cm2 are also available. Thermic fluid heated models with thermic fluid tube bundles are available for applications where thermic fluid heating is preferred.

It has an opening on one side of the fitted with a circulation blower. The blower takes the inside air from the room and passes through the ducting in two paths. In one path it takes the hot and humid air and in the other it takes the cool air. The cool air and hot, humid air are mixed in the mixing chamber located on the other side of the KOJI ROOM. Water condensate gets drained through the bottom drain valve. Only the conditioned humid air will move through the top opening to the perforated duct, which is placed inside the die room. This will pass through the trays loaded with koji / bran. The air emerging from the Koji will get sucked by the circulation blower and the circulation continues.

The humidity and the temperature are maintained by a heater and chilled water circulation. A modern electronic control system is used. The Relative humidity and temperature are indicated and controlled by the indicating controllers which adjust the heating and chilled water circulation to achieve accurate control. This is housed in an attractive control panel. Signal is used for indicating, controlling, recording or data logging as per the customers’ requirement. Murhopye has successfully developed solid state fermenters (KOJI) for laboratories and industries. Model PF-50 (Koji) is a pilot scale solid state fermentation plant available in 25 kg capacity onwards on a turnkey basis. 

 

Solid State Fermentation (SSF) also known as solid substrate fermentation, Koji fermentation, and solid slurry fermentation is defined as: growth and metabolism of microorganisms on solid substrate medium in the absence of tree flowing water. A peristaltic pump is a type of positive displacement pump used for pumping a variety of fluids. The fluid is contained within a flexible tube fitted inside a circular pump casing (though linear peristaltic pumps have been made). A rotor with a number of "rollers", "shoes", "wipers", or "lobes" attached to the external circumference of the rotor compresses the flexible tube. As the rotor turns, the part of the tube under compression is pinched closed (or "occludes") thus forcing the fluid to be pumped to move through the tube.
Additionally, as the tube opens to its natural state after the passing of the cam ("restitution" or "resilience") fluid flow is induced to the pump.

ATTRITORS are used for fine grinding, dispersing of paints, gravure inks, chocolates, dyes, ceramics, high alumina, zirconium, ceria, rare earths, titanium, minerals, chemicals etc. While occupying less space and consuming less power, these attritors are 10 to 100 times faster than the conventional ball mills. Thus they are highly efficient.

A standard attritor consists of a vessel with milling media in which specially designed agitator rotates to achieve fine grinding and dispersion. Usually, the heat generated in milling is removed by cooling. In certain applications, hot water is circulated through the jacket.

Depending on the application, material of construction is chosen. Vessel is made in MS, SS, MS lined with rubber or polyurethane. Quick release coupling between agitator shaft and the drive shaft is provided. Measurement of temperature and control are optional. Tilting arrangement is also provided as an option.

Grinding media:Steel balls or flint, steatite balls of size ranging from 2mm dia to 12mm. Based on capacity and mode of operation, laboratory, batch, continuous and circulation type attritors are available.

Laboratory Attritor :0.75 litre to 5 litre capacity vessel volume attritors are generally used for laboratory requirements.

Batch Attritors :80 litre to 1100 litre vessel volume attritors are used to process pasty materials & viscous materials like chocolate paste. The operation is batch wise. The material is fed, attritor is operated for a certain time and the product is removed.

Continuous Attritors :In these, the feed enters from the bottom, flows through the attritor and is discharged through a side nozzle at the top of the medium level. These are suitable for continuous large scale production for single pass grinding or processing applications. Typically, these are used for cocoa liquor, compound coatings and such applications. 15 litres to 400 litre capacity attritors are used for continuous applications.

Circulation Attritors:The system consists of an attritor, pump and a holding tank which has a capacity of about 10 times that of the attritor. Slurry is circulated through the attritor using a pump from the tank till the desired fineness is achieved. 15 litre to 400 litre attritors are used for the continuous operation.

Volume of product processed is usually about 40 50 % of the total volume.

Drive and power transmission:Induction motor, pulleys, V belt and gear box.

Loading and unloading:Loading for batch operation is manually through the top. Unloading is through grill and valve at the side or bottom.

MURHOPYE POTTER TOWER is suitable for studying the biological effect both when applied as a direct spray on the organisms or as a residual film. The design incorporates a detachable atomiser assembly, mechanically adjustable spray table and control arrangement to regulate air supply mounted on the equipment for convenient operation.

Construction and equipment details:

The Frame is made using MS angle iron sections, finished in pleasing colours. Adjustment screws at the base facilitate easy leveling.
Spray tube is made of SS 304 with mirror finish and positioned centrally by three screw mounted on the intermediate platform.
Spray atomiser is supplied as a standard feature is located centrally and comes with a sample holder assembly. All these are mounted on the tower itself for ease of operation.
Spray table is used for positioning the specimen dish beneath the spray tube and its height is adjustable.
A regulated air supply of 1.5 to 2 kg/cm2 is required. Air supply from the users mains can be connected to the nozzle provided at the back of the tower. MURHOPYE SPORE COLLECTION SYSTEM is a useful instrument to collect spore samples from field for further resting in the laboratory. It comprises of a small blower, spore collector and two plastic bags that are secured to the spore collector.

The blower sucks the air near the sample when the spore collector is directed near the sample. The sucked air and sample pass through a tortuous path resulting in the spores being collected in the plastic bags attached. There is a fine mesh at the inlet to ensure that bigger particles do not get into the system.
