Ammonium Metavanadate (NHVO), also known as Ammonium Monovanadate, is an inorganic vanadium compound widely used as a precursor for vanadium-based chemicals and catalysts. It appears as a white to pale yellow crystalline powder and is moderately soluble in water, forming slightly acidic solutions.
This compound is valued for its role in chemical synthesis, analytical chemistry, and catalyst production, especially in processes involving oxidation reactions. Due to its vanadium content, it is also used in the manufacture of vanadium pentoxide (VO) and other vanadium derivatives.
