Edger path line adjustment is motorized. CLOSE LOOP system for AUTO CORRECTION of width and thickness due to which we can increase the speed of the machine. We can take the reading manually but it is possible for a line speed of upto 120-200mpm.

The main control is from D.C. DIGITAL drive Make ABB, Model DCS 800 which has some excellent features over other drives :

• It has double bridge.
• Good adaptive programming.
• Very good Speed control with an accuracy of 0.005% with encoder.
• Speed controller cycle time is 3.3millisec.
• Current controller response time is 3.0 millisec.

The machine operation is controlled by PLC programming. The communication between the controller and drive is through Profibus which transfers the data at a speed of 3 Mbps. The operation is through touch screen. Digital feeding of ratios and speed is possible.

DRO unit is provides which helps the operator’s initial setting time and also it helps in reducing the scrape percentage. Internal and external cooling system is provided which increases the efficiency of the roller, avoid oxidation of the conductor and machine speed can be increased.
Anti-back lash ball screws with servo motors are used for roller up down movement and the edger’s sideways movement to achieve higher accuracy. Wiper system is provided for cleaning the conductor after rolling by compressed dry air.
Width thickness gauge used for auto correction of width and thickness works on LASER beam technology with an accuracy of 0.001mm. The last stand is oquipped with anti backlash ball screws and servo motors.
BOBBIN MOVING TAKEUP / WINDING UNIT in which the whole unit along with the bobbin traverses. Due to which the conductor remains in the straight path line and no stress / strain is developed in the conductor. Due to the straight motion of the conductor the bend gets avoided which leads in perfect winding quality.
