Agomelatine tablets (brand names include Valdoxan, Thymanax, etc.) are primarily used in adults for the treatment of major depressive episodes (MDD). In some countries like Australia, they are also approved for the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). It is not approved for use in the United States.
