Air Compressor is positioned as the first primary equipment in the Oxygen Plant. The production cycle starts from the air compressor by sucking the atmospheric air.

A multi-stage (minimum 4 stages) air compressor sucks atmospheric air through a suction filter compressed to a working pressure which is nearly 2-3 Kg/cm² during start up of Plant and to a pressure of 40-50 Kg/cm² approximate during normal running of the air separation unit. Air compressor has inter-coolers between the stages and after-cooler at the final stage.
