the stem is inserted in the body and back seated through & pife rings against the body wall.the gland is fully piloted in the body and the stem is a close fit inside the gland.the design assures full support of the stem at all times.
every precaution has been taken to protect the stem seal against damage or loosening due to mechanical forces.
a fillet relief is accurately machined on the lip of the ball part, permitting the ball to snap into the open position in perfect alignment snugly against the teflon seat. In this position the reduced compressive force on the seats helps to minimize the possibility of cold-flow of the teflon rings and extends service life.
r-square ball valves achieve leak tight sealing even at low pressures by means of accurately controlled squeeze on the seat rings and ball.
