Bay leaf, Usage/Application : Cooking

Bay is an herb. The Greeks made it famous by crowning their heroes with wreathes made out of bay leaves. In addition to decorative use, the leaves and oil are used to make medicine. Bay leaves is one of the oldest spices in the world known as Sweet Bay. The Bay Leaves have aromatic fragrance and are bitter and spicy in the taste. In food, bay is used as a seasoning in cooking and in processed foods.
